I can imagine the devil saying something to Job along the lines of Anton Chigurh, just to twist the knife.
-Anton Chigurh: Alright. Let me ask you something. If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?

In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. 2 He had seven sons and three daughters, 3 and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.

I am still waiting that my wife and daugther of five months can come to Europe. Waiting now already since August last year that it works out. We started that whole process already in 2024 before we planned on a baby. Had to leave because of setting things up, but the ministry and embassies are all just putting stones ahead. I did have my baby only for two weeks in my hands when I went down... still waiting, and with God's help we endure this time of waiting and being separated.

— @Elderberry392q90

4 His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, ‘Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.’ This was Job’s regular custom.

6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, ‘Where have you come from?’

“If we’re found guilty why struggle in vain” 😤

— @PureeLove

Satan answered the Lord, ‘From roaming throughout the earth, going to and fro on it.’

8 Then the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.’

Job’s story is that of a good man with faith in the Lord, what do we do when we are not blameless like Job? What do we do when we are the evil in society? I walk amongst people, unbeknownst to them I am wicked, I am so lost I feel separated from God

— @thelostsheepreturns

9 ‘Does Job fear God for nothing?’ Satan replied. 10 ‘Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.’

12 The Lord said to Satan, ‘Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.’

God humbles us

— @MCHammer79

Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

13 One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the eldest brother’s house, 14 a messenger came to Job and said, ‘The oxen were ploughing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, 15 and the Sabeans attacked and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!’

— @Miyan.Brandon

16 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, ‘The fire of God fell from the heavens and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!’

17 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, ‘The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!’ 19 when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!’

All praise to the most High..Amen🙏

— @HarleyBlack-x5w

20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:

‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb,

What stood out to me most is Satan’s attempt to challenge God. Satan has no power that does not exist without His permission. God knew the heart of His servant, and Satan was, and is impotent.

— @sreardonatpfg

and naked I shall depart.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;

A few weeks back I started reading the book of Job, my life is not the way i want it for years I’ve been trying my best to be able to enjoy life and achieve things but i feel like I’m stuck. I pray and hope that one day something great happens for me😇

— @LeanaBobbSemple

may the name of the Lord be praised.’

22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

Joe’s friends were the definition on how the enemy attacking people think that the enemy cannot use scripture are that and they always rely on scripture as the main portion for knowing the truth about the God is seen, but that right there what happened there with Joe and his friends did – definition of how it does it it all sounds like scripture. It’s all scripture, but it’s missing the very character of God and without the character of God scripture means nothing it could be easily twisted and turned into anything and everything. The character gone is that it should be the first thing you understand so now when you do read scripture, you know how God is telling you that so you know how he will tell you it in a certain time otherwise you’ll have that people saying things about God that sounds right but there’s something off about it. we are not looking at the scripture and they’re not speaking the scripture with the character of God.

1:53:10 | Job Chapter 42

Bible Version:

When God spoke: I understood why I deserve nothing, even if I so think about it.

I'm sorry, Lord. I too used to read but today, through the same scriptures, I saw you.

Forgive me.

Job was in grief and he had some good arguments and to be honest, Lord, he was complaining like a righteous man - keeping a balance, and never offending the glory of the Lord.

Job's words must have hit God deeply for him to answer and speak not only to him but to his friends too - almost like God staged the whole thing just so to hear how humans lament.

Yet in his lament, Job never cursed God.

He was restituted but I now see - life is just plain.

What good did the restoration of Job bring?

You have just discovered how small you are in face of God. You have also discovered that none of your friends know about your trials nor can understand its cause and they offer wrong advise.

What good having the family restored and servants and cattle - then live a little and die.

I understand now why the wicked grows wickedly and shuns from God - the ability to have such openness for knowledge and uncompromising righteousness makes you a witness and you can not unseen it.

I cannot judge nobody. I am so humbled and ask for genuine forgiveness - while I'm still alive.

Thank you, Lord.❤

We heard the verse “spare thy rod hate thy child.” We or I have thought that verse was for us raising our children. But now I also know it was directed at me from my Heavenly Father. If he hates me he would spare his rod. God will never give you more than you handle this I promise you! But the spirit of God will give you enough that God is the only place we can turn to in faith. What can mere mortals do to me? Jesus says hmmmm humanly it is impossible but with God anything is possible.
