This has GOT to be the best take 2 in the history of musical performance video. If there's any musician out there who never asked for a do-over and is perfect without exception every single time then why won't you please tell us all about it because after he shook the jitters off with that good-humored enthusiasm the performance he then delivered is an absolute master class. Maybe some of y'all can cover it pretty well after working on it for months but he did it there and then and I love it more than most of the electric stuff he's more well-known for except for maybe Villanova Junction from Woodstock and Bleedin' Heart at the Royal Albert Hall.. Every decent player of a fretted instrument knows that the 1st 3 frets are particularly challenging to play melodies cleanly on because of the increased pressure required to depress the notes closest to the nut. Okay; tell us different, smarty. I didn't say impossible but trickier of COURSE!

@imaramblinsI think that in the second part he’s playing a borrowed guitar. He’s playing left handed, but the guitar is righty, played upside down. Look closely to see which strings he’s strumming for which notes. He was known for doing this. He’d sit in onstage playing whatever guitar was available, left or right.
