But in my house, if you get past all of that, you'll also have to get past Homer our 75kg Bullmastiff, Shadow our retired prison guard K9 German Shepherd (he's still got plenty of go left in him) and depending on which day it is there may be another four or five Schutzhund protection sports dogs (Belgian Malinois and Rottweilers usually) at the house I'm looking after from the dog club.

Now I don't EVER recommend people get dogs for security or personal protection. They're extremely difficult to train, just as difficult to select which dog is suitable and have been deliberately bred to be dangerous to humans so everyone in your family needs to know how to handle them and they require supervision if they're not locked away.
