@jeffreyday5417Given Trump's apparent health issues, if Vance isn't somehow forced out soon, he's going to be the next PotUS by way of the Constitution. Vance knows that, so I don't see him resigning. The question is whether there's some other way to force him out, short of impeachment and removal (which right now would need the Dems to cooperate, and I don't think they want to move Mike Johnson any closer to being President than he already is).
@princecharonTrump did say he would put the blame on J.D. if the deal is bad. Also J.D. only had an 8 hour in Afghanistan to negotiate so I don't see him as the architect of the deal. Also is it not true that J.D. has the power to invoke the 25th on Trump? Maybe Trump is afraid so he wants to ensure J.D. doesn't have the Republican support to do this.

And I guess that if Trump would try to "convince" Vance to resign that would backfire on him.
Because Vance does know too much about Trump and certainly is not willing to give away
the chance to replace Trump if Trump is getting too sick or dies or will be impeached.

@azndragon75The botched up first meeting with Iran in Pakistan was also blamed on him. Add to that the fact that he hasn't shown 100% loyalty in 47's eyes lately and he's trying to distance himself from him, this couldn't have any other outcome than him being the next in line to have his career ruined.

Ah. So the fix is in. Vance is the fall guy for a war he didn't agree with, no one (as usual) holds Trump accountable and Rubio is protected as the 2028 GOP front-runner.

@EdwardBethea-h4dTrump should be carefull about pushing Vance (or not I like neither of them) cause after the midterms the democrats will likely pass a law to form a body Vance could use to invoke the 25th without the rest of the cabinet.
And trump can not fire him, if vance is able to take what ever trump might decide to dish out for 1 year he could get rid of him and get 2 years in office (probably all he'll ever get)

Nor that it matters all that much or that I wanna defend him, but it's the choice of making the fall guy make the least amount of sense.
