As a dog trainer, I had so many red flags at Keeko’s training. It should be ‘Stay’ and that’s it. It’s not a prayer, not hypnosis but a simple command. Anyone who goes ‘staaaaay, staaaaaay, staaaaaaaaaaay’ is only teaching their dog that a) they don’t have to listen the first time (since the command isn’t ‘stay’, it’s a constant murmur of staystaystaystay) and b) as soon as I stop talking your ears of, you’re free to go. Not convinced she is dependably trained.

It is interesting with Kashmir that Jackson Galaxy did not introduce play. In other episodes where two cats were fighting in a household, it seemed like the crazy cat (Kashmir in this case) would not be able to attack Darla if worn down to exhaustion. This was never attempted in this episode or suggested by Jackson Galaxy in his first two visits. I get it that the production may have their hands in this show and they want viewers, so they want Jackson Galaxy to try different things to make it seem like there is an actual solution; however, it just looks odd when the solution could have been something Jackson Galaxy had tried in previous episodes.

Dylan and Kiko cannot safely live in the same house, Kiko is predatory, you can't train that out. The ability to distract her briefly from the cat doesn't mean she won't go back to hunting when the cat moves like prey. I get it's an upbeat show where they wanted to show problems being solved but Jackson should have told them to rehome that dog and not put them on the show. I hope off screen he at least told them to never leave those two animals alone in a room together.
