This is a huge failure of the United States government to protect its people from predator Capitalist like Elon Musk. SpaceX should be broken up, its money taken and distributed out to working class Americans. No more leniency to Elon Musk and the rich.

If people think SpaceX is going to have humans inhabiting Mars they are sadly mistaken. It is 3 years round trip and it's atmosphere is poisonous to humans. Robots could go there and inhabit it I guess. But this is all very expensive and doesn't seem very profitable. Although I guess SpaceX's near term profitability is putting satellites in space.

Meanwhile . . . Tesla depends on special US trade protections (not offered to any other Assembled-in-USA products); and Americans are anxious to buy $20k Made-in-China luxury e-vehicles with better range and longer battery life.
