0:57:17 How to talk about future optimism/pessimism in English (grammar, vocab, idioms)

“I think the glass is both half empty and half full. It depends on how we choose to look at it. The half-full side reminds us to be grateful for what we have, while the half-empty side encourages us to keep improving and reaching for more. In life, having a balance between optimism and realism helps us appreciate the present and prepare for the future.”

I see the glass as half full, but not because I'm optimistic. It's because a glass by itself is empty. If there's something inside it, then it's filled. So if it's half filled, that means it's half full. 🤣

If the glass is completely empty, it means that there is nothing to fulfill it with.
If the glass is completely full, it means that there is nobody to drink it.
If the glass is half empty or half full,
It means that there is something to drink and there is someone to drink it. It feels alive and optimistic in any way.

When I look at the glass, I see half a glass of water to be grateful for; when I look at the empty part, I see something that needs effort to be filled.

for the third questuion i think that pissimistic may cause negative things like it can cause bad things on psychology you know...when we think about bad things too much that may cause psychology diseases...

Our “nature “ defines whether we are optimistic or pessimistic person . On the other hand optimistic person lacks a critical thinking.

His answer to your question is that the glass is not half empty, but rather full of air, oxygen, and even some other gases. However, most of the comments talk in a philosophical way, and I find them beautiful. It’s a bit sad that I ended up thinking in this way too.❤😂

I just signed up for LEP Premium as a small gesture to thank Luke for his huge effort in helping me improve my English.

This is my first episode on LEP, and I’m already feeling more and more optimistic about my progress and the chance to pass my B2 Cambridge Exam.

Thank you, Luke, for your work. You’ve created such a great YouTube community

for the A question

my first answer was "depends" what depends? the person, I mean, if is your glass, I shall defend all arguments to be in the glass half full side, if is my glass diametraly different, if is my glass I'll notice more evidence and argument why is that glass close empty, even half

I really enjoyed this episod. I liked when you bring kind of academic short text and explain it. I most of the time don't have any problem in comunicating daily but I am sure when I start to read something more profetional I should check vocabs and your video help me to be more confident even about other profetional textes as well. It looks promising to me.
