Visiting NYC on a budget and wondering which discount pass to get? One of the most asked questions I get is "Should I use the CityPASS?" In this video, I tell you if it is a scam or not, plus I share the discount pass I love the most.

So people say that you donât have to pay for the museum of natural history but I stood in line to get a ticket once and said I was under the impression it was pay what you wish. The teller told me no that is not true and we had to pay. Well I was a poor student at the time so we left. Talk about being embarrassed and pissed that I was told I should be able to go for free(from a different tour guide).

Need to mention that Museums are ONLY FREE for NYC residents, all non residents and international tourists have to pay. Unless you can book in for one of the "free days" which some Museums do eg. Guggenheim does free entry on Saturdays from 5-8pm. But see each Museums website for more info on what days are free (as far as I know, the MET doesn't do free days).

As someone who visited NYC I can confirm that Top of the Rock is the best place to go. Itâs vastly superior compared to Empire State BuildingâŠ

you are greatđ,thanks a lot
@jez8831I bought the City Pass for 121 ⏠(131 $) and would like to see ESB, Top to the Rock, 9/11 museum at 12 p.m., Circle Line Best of NYC and AMNH+special exhibition+Rose Center for Earth and Space. Normal price is $ 190 p.p. so i save 177$ for three persons with city pass. I was on the sightseeing pass page, but I don't understand how to handle, and it seems more expensive to me. Scam is something else for me e.g. the fake monk.
@mikejansch8546On the museum of natural history website it states entry is free for residence (pay as you wish) but you must pay if you are a non resident ? is this correct?
@JimPerkins299City pass all day every day as you know where you are with moneys mush
@fab5254Empire State Building is iconic. Itâs more than just getting a better view.
@stew6662I don't see the option for airport transfers where is this?
@dawnwong1242I've seen these citypass things in other cities. To me it seems like an attraction pass for a tourist who has never been to the city, have zero knowledge of the city because they did not plan thier visit and are clueless as a result.
@jasonmims5057I watched this entire video waiting for a titty to fall out smh
@joshestessAMoNH says on their site that "Pay what you wish" is for residents or members... And if you`re a tourist you have to pay and book in advance... So where the truth lies exactly?
@lol33324most ALL tourists want to see the empire state building and the statue of liberty so recommending not to go to the empire state building is just silly. you canât call yourself a nyc tour guide and recommend to NOT visit what is considered the #1 or #2 main tourist attraction in nyc. thereâs many places in the city you can get a view of the empire state building but thatâs not the same as actually visiting it and going up in it. i def think this is where you having been a new yorker all your life is causing a little too much bias and downplaying just how important this attraction is to tourists
@bebeerinAnd I was born and raised in the bronx
@mafiafamily6451Just about everything in ny is a scam
@mafiafamily6451Thanks alot. đđ
@salzburg8452Your deep cut dress stole my Innocence but i will let it slide!! ;-)
@rockyBalboa66991:42 but thats your opinion. I'll visit all of them so you get to save a lot of money with the pass
@Heyauthorsyou remind me of Gina Linetti from B99
@ThisIsAli_OffHi can you choose the time you wanna go to the place
@benjaminkrause7214Hi! Is the museum of natural history still pay as you wish? The website says the pay as you wish is only for NY residents.
@mmurillo0107is this video still applicable for this year 2022?
@jessicapilare5794where is the link for thr yacht company you are recommending
@stellabillmire123Hi Sarah. thanks for your info this video was 2years ago . Do they still work noe all your info for Summer 2022. Please advise. first time traveling to NYC with my 2 teen
@stellabillmire123Has the free entry to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum changed to Mondays between 3:30pm to 5pm?
@martinconnor9840Wow re' the 9/11 Memorial & Museum being free after 5pm on a Tuesday. Brilliant piece of information. This is great to know, $84 as opposed to $134. Fantastic advice. Will 100% look at the Flex Pass as well. Thank you
@martinconnor9840Thanks alot
@wiam89-v6eThank you for this video!
@attorneyrobertI bought the city pass before watching this videođ But I don't think it's always a scam: I bought the C3 ticket (3 attractions deal), for 87$. Choosing the Edge, Top of the Rock and the cruise to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, which I would see anyway, I saved around 15$. As for the museums I will definitely follow your tips!
@MartfarypkaAs far as I can tell if you're not a local then there are no free entry options to the museums in 2022.
@RickMyBallsFunky binge-watching today! đ
@PittsburghRealEstateTodayYou give some good advice got a trip to NYC end of next month. Save money to visit top tourist attractions
@bama8570At 2 minutes when you said Pass on the Empire State Building⊠I closed the video lol bye
@316citylightsHi there! love the video. had a question...it says that it is pay what you wish for only NY, NJ, CT for both natural hx and MET?
@sneudi870Superb! Tips for you NOT being taken for a ride... at times, literally! :)
@rajeevk.pathak771Sarah I love your videos but couldnât disagree more with this particular one. Iâm Australian and have spent approx 30 days in the city over three different visits. NYC is absolutely my favourite city in the world. I have several issues with your video however. You talk about free days at several of the museums ⊠yes there are but when we attended Moma on a free Friday it was beyond crowded and not pleasant at all. I would rather pay a premium for a little space and anxiety free visit. Additionally many people visit the city for a short time and canât plan to be there on a âfreeâ day. I much preferred the Empire State building to the Top of the Rock (2019) ⊠it was less crowded and recently renovated. I couldnât get near the front of the viewing deck at Top of the Rock. The Natural Museum of History maybe a âpay what you canâ venue but shouldnât we be supporting these institutions. The Guggenheim is a Frank Lloyd Wright Masterpiece - forget the art even and it is still very much worth the visit. And the Circle Cruise⊠we thoroughly enjoyed it, having done it twice - and enjoyed every moment. Iâm fussy and anxiety ridden and not once felt it wasnât worth the effort. Additionally what you failed to mention is that you donât need to wait in a long line for any of these attractions but rather bypass the queue. When you are a tourist with limited time, this is important.
