I'm gonna be honest problem solving might be a decent upside, but ruining every conversation I have by interrupting and not listening is getting pretty old. and that's like the least inconvenient part for me. Also I didn't watch the video for more than five seconds 🙃

no that's wrong. for the part about the increase in adhd over time is wrong. Due to a correlation != causation fallacy. The video seem to indirectly suggest that the increase in reported adhd causes over the year is caused by the fact it has an evolutionary advantage, without providing actual evidence on it, rather relying on a logical fallacy to justify it. The increase in reported adhd cases over the time is more likely to be caused by the increased public awareness of the disorder (can i even call it an disorder? that is kinda discrimating). Eitherway, this guy is promoting this idea under the biases of trying to sell his book.

Clicked on this video just to say, no, it is absolutely not an advantage. Suffering so much due to the consequences of your own choices which you feel like you have almost no control over is the biggest disadvantage I can think of anyone having. Like, you are self-sabotaging yourself for all your life despite trying your hardest to just take a good opportunity and change your life for the better. But in a hunter gatherer society? I've unironically wished that it could be like that before, not gonna lie. But nope, it's not like that. Just suffering. Trying to catch up just to reach what others call the "bare minimum." It's humiliating.
@LeviachansimpBut adhd is good one has short burst focus on many different things leading to greater success in this different fields
@gigahertMy brain: thats how book wins final challenge
@RickHenrique1OPINION: ADHD was created by big Pharma for vulnerable ignorant parents who seek out medication instead of teaching your kids different ways to learn. I was diagnosed with this pseudo disorder around 2004 and was put on meds like Concerta and Strattera. These meds did not help me focus like the Ad's portray. They actually made me more incapable of being myself. Turns out, it wasn't that I couldn't pay attention at school, it's that I just didn't give a shit about it. Which I guess translates to adults that I have a learning disability.
Unmedicated since 2006, I'm currently a Senior Project Manager for a construction firm, which requires more attention then a damn control tower. So I am proof that its either made up or heavily misdiagnosed.
lame
@world.on.fire2024Love this mindset but it is very hard to think like that sometimes
@Diaryofanadhdkidi am genius but with adhd
@Human-bc4qxWe have been poisoned by the system, that's why our brains are different. Then the system mocks us for being so. Stop paying bills.
@StaffordGraymanIt's only been since 2004 that my ADHD tendencies really became much more noticable!!
That's when I woke up super sick one morning with the original long Covid, MECFS.
Both of these conditions (MECFS as well as at least very severe long covid) have been reclassified into the same ICD code for diagnostics as of 10/22 once they understood enough about LC to realize they're both just somewhat different post-viral fatigue syndromes that can mess with about any bodily system they feel like, and that certainly includes the brain.
There's so much stuff online about ME, it's remarkable, it has been listed by the WHO as a neurological disorder since 1969 along with pages and pages of epidemics & outbreaks noted since a 1934 outbreak at some hospital in LA, and yet it seems that most laypeople at least still do not even know what it is. And there are upwards of 3 million people estimated to having it just in USA alone! Medical doctors otoh are doing much better and in fact, all you have to do is mention the ICD code and they'll come straight to attention being they're certainly supposed to know their ICD codes!
ADHD has also been known as "time-blindness" now for well over a decade! Don't forget that!
It's only been very recently that I could have been able to forget it being I just heard about it myself recently!😢
Why am not finding info on AudADHD? Am I not spelling it right?? Why would it be pronounced AudADHD but then spelled AuADHD??
I don't even have a clue how to pronounce AuADHD!!
Anybody else know how to pronounce that??
Ok this is 9 years old so outdated research is normal.
@NewMarket-i5dHooray, I can’t work or study but I can hunt succesfully hunt!!
@senatorbings😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 i HaveADHD
@YvonneMlseI’ve denied ADHD my whole life until recently when I was officially diagnosed and medicated. Now the more I learn about it im totally relating to all the symptoms that are described. Where I assumed I just had a lack of attention or impulse control I actually just was experiencing ADHD. Now that I’m medicated it’s insane the difference in quality of life. The only negative effects I’m noticing is that when the medication wears off I definitely feel a bit depressed and I’ve had a hard time falling asleep. Anyways anyone who has tips please feel free to reply!!
@connorwoodbury4519yes and no
@BrodyBlank-u3p1:10 WTF ur saying as ADHD 'Patients'!?
@VLakshenadhd is NOT and advantage i have it and its not fun its hard to Consintrait in school💔
@romenestrada2929If your family is wealthy, ADHD can even turn into a gift. But if you’re not, you should see a doctor and get it treated and managed as soon as possible—so life won’t get even harder later on.

@cileyilmaz2911It's a problem if you can't pay attention. It's importance to be prescribed with medicine if you have this mental disorder
@liamdarke787Isn't ADHD apart of people just showing their right (creative) side of their brain without enough aligning and training. I've found that these creatives tend to have these tendencies. Including exceptionally overthinking which usually ends up being negative thinking tell the individual learns
Treating ADHD with medication seems like its the issue. Seems like everyone has something personal to learn. - with people like you playing to their unknown and the industry
its a curse, not an advantage.
@gravity00xAs a person with ADHD this are the advantages and disadvantages:
Advantages:
1. Energetic/High Energy
2. Creativity
3. Hyper-focus on the things I'm interested into
4. Can think outside the box
5. Good imaginations-can use this in school works and also in my future career.
6. Higher empathy
Disadvantages:
1. Can't focus on the things I'm not interested into, can't focus especially when tired.
2. Hyperactivity
3. Mood swings or very sensitive emotions (easily angered or annoyed and very sensitive) something like that.
4. Your mind flies/Daydreaming
5. Anxiety
6. Interrupting in conversations(Sometimes hard to communicate because of inattentiveness)
7. Seen as dumb, but having ADHD doesn't mean you're dumb, as a person with ADHD I've noticed that I'm actually smart, I just need proper support in my studies, I know you're smart too:)
8. Stutters a lot/Speaks fast.
9. Clumsiness-caused by inattentiveness sometimes.
10. People would misunderstand you a lot.
11. Forgetfulness
12. Depression and lowered confidence(Proper support helps in avoiding depression and increases confidence)
13. Ups and downs in motivation.
14. Easily drained
15. Hard to know the consequences of your actions-sometimes you do things that you don't know will actually cause consequences.
16. Bad decision making(You decide too quickly and later regret it)
17. Bad self control(Addiction is harder to overcome with ADHD)
With proper support you will be able to overcome all of these, just trust, trust the Lord, trust His plans, and offer Him the struggles. I'll pray for all of you here who suffers with ADHD🙏 May God bless you guys🙏🙏🙏 You can do it💪 Nothing is impossible with God✝️ Mark the words "TRUST", "HOPE" and "FAITH, trust, hope and have faith in Him!
For all those that suffer ADHD and have difficulty staying in one job trying working in blue collar jobs or entrepreneur. It’ll help a lot
@user-lx7xt6kk7kAdhd is not a deficit, it's a disregulation of attention.
Your attention goes to whatever gives more dopamine.
You could be like a solid hour doing something, and that something may not be homework, but that's doesn't mean you cannot focus.
If you need to deliever tomorrow better know that you will have attention on that one...
Hyperactivity also is questionable, some have it more than others.
