Tens of thousands of people have ended up in Kenya, where a vast refugee camp set up in the 1990s is continuing to grow.

With legal resettlement options drying up, those stuck there, in some cases for decades, are facing an even bleaker future.

Instead of staying with her husband so he can work to feed their daughter she left by herself with the child without anyway to feed her. That doesn't make alot of sense and seems selfish. The dad should work hard woth his family there Instead of sending them into the complete unknown where the child dies of hunger which might not have happened by staying with the father. Yes it's harder but you know where and how your family is. I understand there's different circumstances but when using common sense the easier way for them is to leave having the children die on the road π’

@harveyking5038π’as someone who was a refugee depended on UN food for almost 14 years its just getting worse and nothing is changing but on getting worse π€
@sadyadey782UN needs to invest in this people not feed them with junk food and ration that wonβt last much longer instead build houses and give them something they can use to work to earn income while they support so they donβt have depend only UN π’
@sadyadey782Hahahahhaha
@advanrooij3445Where is Saudi Arabia π
@gilbertnyachae4060The international community especially OIC, Arab league, Red crescent etc should try to help these people return to their country Somalia.
@rajasekhare9573I pray for the refugees and migrants each night that better days will come to them. You never know, it could happen in the U.S. one day. God bless all the migrants and refugees all over the world because in most cases, they are in this situation through no fault of their own.
@davidallen2518Respect to you sir β€

@anne5811I was born in this dadaab camp in June 1 2002 when I was 11 years old I came to the USA πΊπΈ but ever since I came to America Iβve been depressed
@AzayzaYiseverywhereTheir culture is tribalism, corruption and zero sum politics.
Their mentality of this people is unlike anything in this world.
They have bought nothing but destruction on themselves.
Somalis are native to Somali, Kenya, Ethiopia and Djibouti.
@emptyhadI wish I could help but my $5 will be used by the Red Cross to rent properties with swimming pools and pay millions to their workers π€¬
@eagledice2008Do Somalia leadership watch this π’π’π’ let them find a lasting solutions
@noorabdulahi8914They need birth control, less people in need of good & water!
@colleenpeck6347War and climate change.
What a life!
Brilliant piece as usual from this reporter. Thoughtful, respectful and sensitive.
There is injustice in Dadaab resettlement allocation/distribution to refugees by UNHCR...You wll find a family who arrived 2020/21 leaving the camp through UNHCR resettlement program while those families who arrived the camp early 1991 or 1992/93/94/95/96/97 are left and their resettlement chances given to families who can bribe/corrupt offices..I witness that malpractice by the UN official and other resettlement agencies in Dadaab camps...In the next clip/interview, I am sure the reporter/journalist wll not find the two old parents alive because of the harsh condition in the camp as they r aging and their health is declining...similarly the young boy might opt to either join extremis or fall victim of human trafficking in the name of going western countries.....Dadaab is a corruption zone know for sexual exploitation,human trafficking/child abuse/impersonation/money laundering/document forgery in exchange for humanitarian services
@welimahat6450Religion have wooded as in Africa
@tonyodhiambo5686So hard to watch may god help you all
@absunited4ever995Ilaahow u gargaar walaalahay
@shukriiiiWali ma somalia ku wareegeysa
@saidkhadar3036Channel 4 is obsessed with somalia ! It shows only the negative side of it and nothing of the good side, giving viewers false impression! Most of the people suffering live in occupied areas by Al Shabab.
@theancientsancients1769I spent few months here as a toddler before moving to London. Iβm great full alhamduliah
@mohamuddahir5153Too emotional to watch.
