Your homework for trying to explain with examples in tabular form is appreciated. It makes things more comprehensive. Today you also highlighted historical background of some English words. This means it's natural for non native speakers to make little error in pronouncing some words!
Lastly, I started learning English from class V. We started reading lessons later. I never remember whether my teacher used dipthong to diffentiate some words from short vowels. Perhaps I will watch this video once again.
