People working from home is putting our identities at risk. Especially service, government, banks. Etc…mygov and MyID is a one stop hackers dreams. Don’t use QR codes…

My wife had this happen. A bill from Telstra came for over 4 grand. Someone had set up a Telstra account for a landline. That phone number on the account not ours. They knew our landline number. Told them send a tech out and he’ll work out that phone number isn’t connected to our property and we have no other properties nor a business anywhere. Telstra didn’t send anyone one out and would not let go of this over 4 grand bill. Letter after letter demanding payment and I kept telling them we never had that phone number connected anywhere and that bill is not ours! In the end I told them I’ll take this to court and prove to a magistrate we have no such phone number connected to our property nor do we have any responsibility for that bill. That silenced Telstra but omg the drama and the stress of it. Absolutely stolen identity and I wouldn’t want anyone having to deal with such a nightmare because companies/organisations are after YOU for bills/debts that are NOT yours.
