Chik-fil-a is as overrated as Trader Joe’s. If anyone compares with KFC, it’s Popeyes and I think it depends on locations of both. Some KFC’s are great, some terrible. Same goes for Popeyes. But if you are comparing apples to actual apples, compare KFC to Popeyes. I personally think Popeyes has the edge for fried chicken pieces.

I purchase a Magfesa pressure cooker. The lid is set up for a quick release of steam. I follow the KFC training video where I put the chicken in and let it fry with the lid off for 3 to 5 minutes, then place the lid on and tighten. I cook it under pressure for 7 minutes. When I loosen the lid, the steam escapes and I can place the chicken on the rack to let cool. I meant to say I used Baconup bacon fat.

U should remove the valve from the ressure cooker .. that will release the moisture and make the meat crisy and tender well cooked from the inside .. useing a fry pan in totaly a wrong idea if your chicken wants to be look like a kfc .. when u cook on a frying pan meat wont cook from the inside , infact that will jst burn the outer layer .. does it make sence to you ?? Thats Y kfc preferd pressure cooker not a frying pan…

Naw, KFC dropped off years ago when I noticed their locations started having slimy chicken under the skin or it was super greasy. Not only that but the size of their wings may as well be chicken nuggets.

This is wrong... you use white pepper not black pepper for fried chicken.. and that's also the only spice in their recipe. The 12 herbs and spices was always a marketing ploy.

Your method isn't close how to apply the seasoning isn't even close! It wasn't marinated the crispy fried was.

Before breading the raw chicken was dipped into a water and dried egg and milk mixture.

The seasoning was mixed and sifted into the flour.

The cooking temperature was 335 for 13 to 15 minutes depending on the cooker being used.

Your variation looks delicious and the color looks amazing!

I worked for KFC for 3 years and was trained by a manager that was trained by the Colonel himself...
