idk if anyone else does this but in my country Trindad we make fudge by putting codensed milk in a heated pan at a certain temp and brown sugar and then you pour it in a pan and let it solidify in room temp or in the fridge if your lazy

idk but maybe you should let the swedish candy harden littlebit? if they harden little bit it would be more chewy and firm, like when you make gummies at home leavin gthem to harden littlebit in the room temperature hepls the textrue so its mre gummy like than jello like.
