I Switched From Spotify To Apple Music - Here's What's Different

Video Overview & Insights

I’ve been using spotify for years now. I can’t really find too much to complain about, and then they increased the price of the family plan from 16.99 to 19.99 a month. And yeah, it had me thinking, is it time to look at other options? And so, for the last 6 months, I’ve replaced Spotify with Apple Music and it’s been a learning experience for sure. Let’s talk about all the differences between these platforms and what’s right for you.

Tried them all. Found Youtube music difficult to browse artists' albums. Been with Spotify for a while to notice the price has increased a lot over years. Trying Apple music, and I agree with Jimmy, its great, I can easy sort artists by their albums and they are sorted in year of release, I love it.

11:13 Conclusion

This is how I look at it... Apple music is like playing tennis one on one.. using Spotify it like playing against a ball launcher on overdrive! Too much s*** going on and cluttered as hell. Apple music has a MUCH cleaner interface and organized better without all the extra stuff I'm not interested in.
Also, I find the recommendations just as good as Spotify if not better. Spotify might have more bells and whistles but Apple music is just perfect in my opinion.

I just hate that I can’t save music from TikTok with apple music

i just hate apple musics' UI

spotify has lossless now but on the paid subscriptions only. 16Bit 48Khz for those who care which is a tiny weeny bit worse than the 192Khz that apple music has but realistically most people wont notice that difference unless you really care. no dolby atmos tho still :(

The biggest difference is the Apple Music app isn’t garbage and stuffed with shit that I don’t care about.

Apple's Rap Life playlist has updated hits, unlike RapCaviar that is filled with old trash from 2017

6:19 Spotify doesn’t have ANY advantage here. It keeps suggesting the songs you have listened to or searched for again and again with rarely new music.

These days I use Apple Music for discovering music and buying cds the goal is build my own collection to get rid of the subscription

i know this is old, but you can use multiple devices on spotify if you download whichever playlist you want and go on offline mode

I love Apple Music and if you want new music try Apple radio in particular Tom Wilkinson who plays all the new UK music/ but I listen to Apple Music 1 most of the time w and it’s great

Spotify just knows me. I used Apple music and i felt like i was forcing myself to use it. The recommendation was not on par with Spotify. I also feel debted to Spotify for the amounts of times i have enjoyed it for free especially on Windows which doesn't even limit skips

Does YouTube music have lossless audio like Apple Music?

@CanonPaulHamilton
@

YouTube increased again smh
I can pay it but do I want too? Do I use all features to it's fullest probably not. Galaxy s25 user and former iPhone user for so long. Think I'll just download apple music to be honest. Spotify seems nice but there's too much goin on and I'm not interested in finding new users from the app just cuz I can do that on my own.

I use both and my main ick with Apple Music on iPhone is that there is no eq. Only increase bass. I like my bass and Spotify gives me that on iPhone. On windows and Mac both eq’s are great.

I couldn't give a shit about discovering new artists. I know what I like and I replay the music I like. If I wanna get into a new artist I just listen to their albums first and then move to singles.

You left out that Apple TV is included with Apple Music student

i’m late to this video but since spotify increased their price i’ve just quit streaming music all together. i have tons of CDs (they’re super cheap from thrift stores) and use my old ipod shuffle for songs i liked but didn’t want to buy a whole album for. i found myself skipping hundreds of songs when i was on spotify. now i don’t skip anything.

@sami-tw7qk

spotify has lossless now also

My personal take - Apple Music is better due to the more single focus of the app. It seems to be an apple thing to focus on one single use for every app rather than make an app an everything app. Music is for music. The weather app is for weather. The calculator is for numbers. They don’t add in social media and other stuff to all apps. But that is just my opinion / it isn’t the final word.

Does no one know that Apple Music also has a “rewind”

If Apple had an Equalizer with multiple frequency bands like 32hz- 20khz it’d be the best music app hands down

Respect bro, you even listen to indian music

@AyaanSethi-l7q

Apple music doesn't have any connection between the desktop and mobile apps, on spotify I can easily switch the music between my phone and my computer and even on tv, adjust volume, change the song and use my phone as a remote controller.

@pringlesbender

Apple Music have better design, but spotify have more musics and is better for connective
