@BizAsUsualAcappellaI did an underground-only run a while back, here's some useful stuff I discovered:
- Oak and Mangrove trees can generate in the entrance room of Trial Chambers, which can be located with villagers. Cactus as well, but that's less useful.
- Bamboo can be obtained by fishing underneath a Jungle.
- Flowering Azalea Saplings count as flowers for generating bee nests when growing oak trees, giving you access to sugar for weakness potions. Since curing zombie villagers with witches is a pain.
- Speaking of zombie villagers, throwing snowballs (digging under snowy slopes) or eggs (chicken jockeys) at them can trigger reinforcements , giving you a second one for free.
- Hoglins can be bred for livestock, make a pit with a moss rim so you can place down warped fungi to 'pacify' them when needed. Or just make a mob farm.
- Does underwater still count as underground? Personally I decided yes, as long as I'm never surfacing. Nautilus really open up the overworld.
