Today I’m doing a full 3-month grocery stock-up at Costco, focusing on the essentials we actually use, plus a few fun extras that make everyday life a little easier.
Those Kettle chips were an exceptional price. I checked the UK price for comparison and at one of our larger supermarket chains they cost £2.65 or $4.93 for 130 grams. They never used to be so expensive but they've not only gone up in price but the pack weight has decreased quite a bit in the last few years.
In this haul, I’ll share:
Why I'm stocking a pantry when we might be moving soon
Hello from PEI 🇨🇦. It takes us 3 hours to get to Moncton in New Brunswick to go to Costco. Plus we have to pay to cross the bridge to get off of the island. We usually stock up on products to make it worth our while. Will you be moving to a smaller property?
Extras I think are worth the money

Genetically Modified Mayo:
Hellmann’s “Real” Mayonnaise now requires a bioengineered label on its jars.
Less than 2% of each jar is actual egg… 98% is chemicals, industrial seed oils, corn starch, EDTA, gums and other additives.

How do you store your mayo? I’m Canadian too and I’m going to try a few of the things you’ve mentioned! Good luck with selling and buying!!

Pam here…mind boggling how much food you go through! Can you refresh my memory how many mouths you are feeding on a regular basis? How many children and what ages you still have at home and the ‘not at home’ ones…how often are they showing up for ‘mama’s cooking’??? You feed what looks like an army!!

I am always surprised at how many maple syrups you buy. Last time I did the math, costco business centre sells much bigger maple syrups for a better deal than the little ones. I don't know if there is a business centre where you shop but it's worth a look if have access.

My parents have been freezing shredded cheddar for years - my mom says the trick is to let it come to room temperature after you take it out of the freezer. It gives the oil a chance to soften back up, then put it in the fridge. She claims it won't be crumbly if you do the room temp thing first. I just froze a large batch of shredded cheddar yesterday so I'll find out myself when it's time to use it!

I mix up the peanut butter in my food processor. I do both jars at once so I make only one mess for the two. I go through a jar a month by myself so storing them in the refrigerator is no problem. Works like a charm.

For stirring peanut butter I use my electric hand whisk with a single dough hook; it works great and isn't messy x x
@alisongardiner318My freezer experience for cheese… frozen in the standard packet, can be a little crumbly or wet after Thor, but vacuum sealed I haven’t had the same issues, it thors out well and wasn’t overly crumbly. Thanks from Australia
@TheTorkermanAre you going to bring Martha with you when you move????? I can't imagine you with out her!!!!
@kiriaiouliaLee Valley has a nut butter stirring device that works like a hot darn!
@deefuji2192They haven't brought back the good cocoa at our costco just the knock of yup brand that's lite lite brown I refuse to buy it and Im almost out 😢😢
@janeveinotte9850It's just me and I vacuum seal my cheese in amounts for me . A small pkg is more money 🤷♀️🤷♀️
@janeveinotte9850Why are you selling the ranch and where are you moving to what does that look like for future for the channel?
@georgiamama3806The size of the fruit snacks is pretty accurate to what's shown on the box.
@TeresaStuart-l5eYou have "gołąbki" which is the Polish name for Cabbage rolls. This is so amazing! I now wonder what is the history of gołąbki and who made it first...
@OliwiaFBHowdy to all! I was wondering about the case of Olive oil that was in the video and you forgot about and what about your big garden if you're moving. All your plants and fruit trees, raspberry bushes will you be taking that as well when you move ? I'm just curious. Take care Love and Hugs!
@LaurieShumakerSo shocked you’re moving !!!
@debbiekinnell9349Love those gardening gloves! We bought a box last spring when our friends all came out to the farm to help us clean up after the ice storm. We were able to supply everyone with gloves - perfect farm clean up party prize. LOL And welcome to gluten free eating (typically higher in fat, sodium and sugar). But those pizzas are pretty yummy!
@LittleFarmofBigDreamsNever showed the olive oil 😂😂
@dianataylor7373Will you rename the channel to reflect the new property/location?
@BarbaraSampson-o9xGoing to love the flaxseed on yogurt tastes yummy.
@stacy-annmorgan6685Can you recommend a vacuum sealer, please and thank you….
@cherylpolhamus3815Greal Grocery Haul 😊❤❤❤
@carmenhampton2946Where do you live??
@gartsk-aeThank you for sharing!! I hope the house sells fast for you!!
@kimberlyproxmire❤❤❤😊
@KimberlyCrilleyI keep those lint rollers in the car just in case I picked up ticks, after a hike. I am so excited for your move!!
@suewhalen3919The Kashi fruit bars fiasco are a perfect example of the power and sometimes "soullessness" of marketing. Wow! 28 organic fruit bars for only $20 sounds like a steal. Whereas if they put only 14 fruit bars in there that were twice the size, it wouldn't feel like such a good buy. Those are tiny!
@leeinvancouverDONT QUIT THE CHANNEL !!!!!
LOVE IT!!!!
from mb !
I bought those simple mills crackers today and they’re delicious!
@mountainsandmayhemThat bathmat is so pretty. I would put it out the days you "show" your house when you sell it. It would still be "new" for your next house if you don't really use it until then. But I will miss the old place.
@carolmalko615Love the Tupperware containers. Wish they threw in some of the actual vintage colored ones to really hit that nostalgia feels
@daniellebryan3465I know you're fairly private when it comes to your children but my question for the Q & A is how the younger ones feel about moving? ❤
