Birb, you really need to listen to Zeal&Ardor, if you dont know them yet. They do a mix of black metal and gospel-inspired stuff, its really really good. My top genre was also metalcore, but i love Z&A. "Götterdämmerung" by them is really increndible for example.

Don't feel to bad, Birb, being that I have been doing my project of finding bands in all the continents and countries, I never got a chance to settle on one album. So, when Sam Rivers passed, I listened to a lot of Limp Bizkit for a short stretch, making them my top band this year. Ultimate cringe. But "Look to the Windward" was my favorite song, so it equaled out, just over Grinn's "Hold the Knife."
