In this video, I ranked every AI app builder available right now so you don't waste time choosing the wrong one in 2026. You'll learn which best AI tools actually deliver results, how vibe coding is reshaping the way we build software, and where platforms like Claude Code and Google AI Studio fit into the picture. Whether you're a beginner or already deep into AI development, this breakdown will help you pick the right tool and start building faster than ever. You'll also learn how to build an app & which one is the best ai website builder to start with.
00:00 - Intro: Why 90% of AI App Builders Fail
Why do I always watch videos about AI from young people who, because of their age, can't have experience in what real code looks like? Wait a few more weeks, and then the realization will slowly prevail that all this AI stuff is at best suitable for beginners. Special specialty, and I'm talking about Anthropic Ous 4.7, is e.g. B. the untested access to APIs or networks, and if they are not available, there are errors and a lot of them

Now specifically for businesses, Softr is by far the best!

We have spent already $5,000 in Lovable and it is very very expensive. I just made 3 cosmetic changes and I did it 4 times. The cost varied between 1.2 to 3.4 credits (credit is $0.25 to $0.3). Basically I paid this morning about $1 for 3 cosmetic changes. Lovable has the option to use an advanced AI like Opus 4.7 of GPT5.5 but they choose Gemini 2 or so because it costs Lovable much much less and us much much more. Moreover, there are so many mistakes that the lower level AI models are doing which, of course, benefit Lovable since we end up "arguing" with the AI resulting in more wasted credits. Our legal consultant thinks that Lovable has the obligation (especially on an annual plan) to provide the most efficient way to build an app. Lovable, at the current business attitude, is x3 to x4 more expensive per app as it can be.
If all the above is not enough, we noticed another trick to get up to pay more: as you know, every msg is a separate API call both an honest chat is aware of the last 20-90 previous messages so you really "chat" and it knows your needs. In our experience of 6 months and $5,000 Lovable API calls at times don't even read or aware of the previous msg..... so you end up spending more of your valuable time in every msg than you should.
We are checking the legalities but only a class action and FTC complaint against Lovable and their board and investors will solve the issue.
Disclaimer: I do not know how other platforms are acting.

great job

Hey Mikey, I really need information. I have used 3 different web apps, Replit, Polsia and Lovable. The cost of these credits get very expensive and do not deliver what I need. One you have not reviewed here is Polsia it works great in the beginning. Using the Chat AI is like talking to a human, it builds fast, front end looks good. I am wanting to build a 3 website ecosystem one data base that feeds into 2 other websites, with 3 different domain names and 3 different front doors. I got two websites working. but not live then I found out. The out put does not work, and their business practices are very bad. Hidden costs , adding more companies to your plan that you are paying for and theyt won’t refund the money and then they take 20% commissions on top from your sales. So Replit, Polsia and Lovable do not work for what I need. (Replit and Lovable seem to be better at customer service and does not appear to be a switch and bate scam like Polsia) Base 44 I am not sure it can do what I need on the back end. 3 website front doors, 3 separate domain names and using 1 data base. It is more complex. Can Base44 do this?
More User Perspectives
The fundamental flaw with credit-based app builder platforms is that they deliberately create a scaling penalty. As you add more applications to your build environment, the credits you’ve purchased are diluted across all of them. Every update, bug fix, or feature enhancement consumes credits, which means the cost of maintaining multiple apps rises exponentially. Instead of empowering developers, the system is engineered to maximize recurring spend—forcing individuals and teams to continually purchase more credits just to keep their projects functional. What starts as an exciting, low-barrier entry into app creation quickly turns into a financial choke point, where innovation is constrained not by technical limits but by an artificially imposed credit economy.
@DanielJames-DarktideIf I created a project on Lovable could I download it and put it on base44
@Deleted-l2gReplit pricing is out of control.
@BJJandBSOk I have to say, I was nodding adamantly immediately with your opening sentence. I am the one you're talking about!! 😩😆So many of these apps look great, but dont work when you push them past the basics. I've spent many many hours building apps on both Replit and then in Lovable last year. Both of them failed. I got discouraged and walked away from building platforms. But your video gives me hope to try it again, but different. So I'm happy to see your recommendations and into your further trainings. Thank you for this!
@MsTiffAiArchitectHow does Google AI Studio compare with these?
Thank you for the expert analysis.
Why the best one Claude code is missing in the list?
@SijuMarkoseThank you so much for doing this. I really appreciate it. This helped me soooo much.
@alanne1.17.77Saludos desde chile crack
@mundodemariaarangoCool cheers from portugal 🇵🇹
@cinzafenix08u forgot EMERGENT AI
@OYGPRESENTSIf I had been building in Lovable, can I transfer my projects to others platform like Base 44?
@andrewlee3625Great breakdown, and I have a Q: at 23:30 it looks like Base44 doesn't support integration with mobile app stores (iOS + Android). Would you confirm whether this means Base44 would not be able to push an app built there onto the apple / google play store? Thanks!
@Jason-mw3jxThanks - this was very helpful since I'm a non technical builder
@mevanscpaHi! I'm building an app with Lovable and I'm trying to add multiple languages.
When I ask Lovable to translate the app, it only changes the interface (buttons and menus), but the rest of the content stays in Portuguese.
What is the correct way to implement full multilingual support in Lovable?
Should we use i18n or a translation tool like Weglot or another method?
Wow you developer? Hell no I'm an App Builder. Oh you mean Slop Cook.
@BrakJanHi Where does rork fit in this ranking? Loved the video by the way!
@amin8127The credit based pricing model across all of these is going to add up fast
@azizsohan9036Super informative! Thanks so much!
@aleithiasweeting6156and cloude?
@FilipeOliveiradeAlmeidaI skipped to the end
@williamm.buttlicker3870The main things know which Ai builder is best for you progect every ai builder is it's own quality
@Bekcreatessoo i tried building an app with base44 it is highly complex mixed with various features like a leveling system, ranking system, social media section and so on and for some reason the buttons don’t work and cannot see or read what it labeled some things in my app it built don’t work properly like the discord bot i created with it i am not sure if its because of too many sections and or pages or something l should do to make things work the way i would like so wondering what to do and how to fix these issues especially the part that my discord bot is not working you see i am creating an app specifically for my discord server to make it more engaging, interactive, and very immersive but i believe i need to work more on it and it’s an all in one type app it’s not meant to be separate too
@FALKULEUSRYZELIOSCan we build app on Base44 and deploy on iOS?
@RavikdelI have to agree with your conclusion. Base 44 built me a production ready yet app with complicated UI in logic in less than 5 minutes and to look good fully functional it'd be nice if they had like monthly plans. Sometimes financing can be tight when founders are trying to prototype, but this is a nice video thanks Mikey!
@GoZin-HunglowThank you so much, Mikey. That was the best comparison video ever. I have been using Base44 since December 3rd, and since then, I have built over 75 projects, from web apps to small tools, and finally Mobile apps after they recently made it available. I was always thinking of trying other platforms like Replit and Lovable. But after this solid review, I am super happy to continue on Base44. I love Base44; it has changed my life. And for pricing, I think Base44 is so cheap if you know how to use it properly (you will get there by building more projects). I started with the $200/Month plan, which they call Elite, which gives you 1200 credits for prompting and 50,000 credits for other app integrations. You could do so much with 1200 credits. Also, what I love so much about Base44 is that they let you upgrade or downgrade your membership, so you don't have to be a $200 builder every month. You can downgrade to a $50 level if you do not have much to build. At the same time, you can upgrade if you have a new project, and they charge you a prorated price based on the date you upgrade. So no matter how much you upgrade, your total monthly spend will not exceed $200. This makes Base44 super honest because they have the chance to take advantage of you and charge more, but they do not. I love Base44 for its awesomeness.
So, my final take on Base44, I am going to confirm everything that Mikey said in this video. Building 75 apps using Base44 in just two and a half months will 100% gives me the authority to confirm Mikey's honest review.
Great review. Exactly what i was looking for.
@FelixCastromvpi like how u put emphasis on what they can do
@AbdulMannan-x6dThe video is amazing and very informative, but why don't you talk about Firebase Studio or Google Antigravity?
@amer_anjroCan you do a video about emergent AI vs Hostinger horizon vs VibeCode AI
@SjghhjjReplit got 18/20 for platforms but 11/20 for speed. For building one app over three months would it be better?
@lakshan57-5How does this compare to just using v0 from Vercel and then deploying manually? Seems like you'd have more control for roughly the same effort
@ErnestoZiehmAt 6:54 you showed Base44's Evernote redesign but not Rocket's. Was it close or did Base44 really win?
@ghostanime5573You're comparing these to hiring developers but that's not really apples to apples. A developer can handle edge cases and custom logic these tools can't touch
@DasunKumarasiriI'm a freelance designer wanting to offer app dev to clients. Which one lets me white label?
@MarwaaSayedI built my first MVP on Base44 three weeks ago and just got my first paying customer. The built in auth saved me probably 20 hours of setup time
@tharushakalhara-i6oI made the mistake of choosing a tool based on speed and ended up rebuilding the whole thing because it couldn't handle user authentication properly. Wish I'd seen this first
@SabriNoreldeenHow does the token system work on Rocket exactly? Like if I build a dashboard with lots of data does that burn through tokens way faster than a simple form?
@vijithrohitaThe pricing breakdown doesn't account for API costs. If I'm using OpenAI or other third party services, do these platforms charge extra for those calls or is it included?
@SanjuBuddhiniThe report card method makes this so much easier to follow than other comparison videos that just ramble about features
@DerrickPandaNone of these are really replacing developers yet but getting close
@AnaDeCarvalho-u5sI tried Lovable last month to build a client portal and hit $180 in backend costs by week three. Had to migrate everything to Supabase just to keep it sustainable
@ahnaffidawarish6298Lovable at 67 seems harsh but yeah the web only limitation is rough.
@MinjonWorldAffairs-zc2ivWhat about comparing the mobile app quality from these tools? Like actually testing the exported apps on real devices not just the preview
