In this video I install £3,000 worth of modifications to our high mileage VW Lupo GTI with the goal of making this 230,000 mile Lupo GTI better than when it came out the factory. We refurbed and painted the brake calipers, installed brand new BC coilovers, gave the Lupo a new set of brake pads & brake discs, installed new HEL braided brake lines, gave the car back it’s OEM wheels refurbished by ThreeSixty Alloys and much more! 19:32 yeah that self-locking 12 point nut has to be replaced everytime you take it off. Then it must be fastened with 300nm and loosen by 360°. After that, 50nm + 30°, the final 30° tightening should be done with the vehicle lowered so the wheel rests on the ground.

Jack, invest some money on a good compressor and get yourself a blast cabinet and you’ll be able to do all your parts with ease, and if it’s a big enough cabinet you can do your subframes too! Change the media to do ally parts

@GRIMElewXFfs use a bottle to catch the brake fluid. What’s the point spending all that time refreshing your brake calipers if you’re going to soak them in brake fluid🤦♂️🤦♂️ Brake fluid strips paint just in case you didn’t know.

@andym1908Get a torque wrench, spending all that money on parts and never tightening them correctly is killing me, no wonder abs sensors are always seized when your firing them in with a battery tool, they need to be hand tight nothing more

@HO14GTEUsing chrome sockets on an impact gun makes me wince every time you do it… especially without safety goggles… they’re not designed for impact drivers, you should use specific impact sockets…

@valentincirciu3836Please buy a brake blead kit, they are a few pounds and stop the fluid being squirted all over your new calipers, shocks and hands. Excellent upload by the way, loving this build.
