One thing missing from this budget: Savings. Where is the savings? You wonāt be 31 forever. Even $50/mos is better than nothing. And $1600 for a room in s apartment with 4 roommates is outrageous. How much money could be budgeted toward savings if it werenāt wasted on rent?

Buddhism says having things means you are miserable. What I mean: the more you want the more miserable you become. So, having a good life with only the necessary can make you happy. You don't need to pile up a lot of clothes, skin care products.. You don't need the more expensive restaurants... You just need to be wise and enjoy life.

Listen sis I respect everything that youāre saying everything was great and you seemed to be independent and doing your thing. The only thing I disagree is when you mentioned ladies, a guy will pay for your food drinks experiences you donāt have to pay I promise. if those are the things that you do for yourself, why do you want a guy to do that? and if thatās the case, why would a guy do that? What does that entail? Heās under the assumption that you like him heās under an assumption that heās in a relationship with you or heās just a nice guy.

@eggiedrop$50 a month on the subway? $50 is 16 rides total... or 8 trips. i zont work from home and im a ny native who has ppl all over (queens, bk, the x) to see, that unlimited weekly for 36 is a must. even be paying for the lirr sometimes. everything else seems reasonable tho. the problem is i be over spending on going out too cuz i be larping at these upscale ticketed events lol
@BleepBloop-wo7rgI love how you broke this all down, but itās a little misleading to say that your budget is $2500, but then say that you spend your money elsewhere like paying off debt, traveling, etc. Do you not consider those things as part of your budget?

@lyndseywardCrazy how different it is depending on the country and more importantly how the government runs the country (rent, healthcare system etc). I live in France 40 minutes away from Paris, have a similar budget as a public primary school teacher, I pay around 750ā¬ for a 452sq ft appartment in a brand new high standing building, pay around 270ā¬ each month for my new car, and between 30-40ā¬ for extra healthcare insurance (we have free healthcare so if we want more protection we can subscribe for an extra insurance), 12ā¬ for my phone bill with unlimited services.
