I Asked Claude AI To Make Me A FiveM Server... CRAZY!

As good as this basically is, nothing in there is very custom. All the scripts are already made scripts that Claude has found in the internet and installed them for you. Custom means to make something from scratch. The whole police system, the banking, the phone, the inventory, the character creator and with multi character selection is typical QB scripts everyone knows.

This normal esx scripts. All the Ai did is pulling esx stuff and put it in the server.

You should try do it with Deepseek V4 Flash, would cost less than a pound

knowing the capabilities of claude i'm a little dissapointed, this is more of an agentic "install me a fivem server" video as opposed to a full blown "code me a server from scratch"..

I'm sorry to be the one to say it but 20 minutes in and all I see here is QB Core, all Claude done was install it and start it up the "polish" part is still adding already built scripts. May have fixed a few minor bugs and compatibility issues. Nothing more.

You gotta watch some new videos on AI prompts. Telling it you are an expert at something doesn't really do anything. Maybe in the earlier days but for something like Claude desktop/code it is completely pointless. Prompts just need to be specific on what you want done and have it check itself often. It'll start to drift quickly if you don't keep it on railes. Meaning it'll either shortcut some of your prompts or just leave them out altogether. It's memory is short, when it does compress the data, it only keeps specific highlights to recall upon. However, since FiveM is just scripting it should build majority of it pretty smoothly on smaller prompts. Best thing you can tell Claude Desktop is to research specific websites for learning how to or wiki's that give code examples. Or to even scoure the web on fivem development best practices, code examples, etc. It'll learn far more in that research then telling it to do something it can't do, like be an expert fivem developer.

Wouldn't say that was completely custom FiveM server. Seeing the resources list, they're all basically the free qbx scripts that you can get and throw in the server yourself anyway

Did you change the model to fable 5 before running all that? Because by default the vscode extension uses sonnet. You need to run /model to change the model.
Also for big projects like this, i would start in plan mode which creates a detailed technical plan of eveything it is gonna build and let's you review and revise/accept/reject the plan. Improves the final output and save tokens

Fable 5 is no longer available. Anthropic has disabled it for all users due to the US government finding ways to break it to use it for illegal means.
