I was unaware that I could set a time limit on social media watching. I will look into this for my children and I. I just watched a YouTubers vlog about incorporating new skills, activities, and traveling. She stated she learned a new language by utilizing her time wisely by not endlessly scrolling.

This hit way too close 😅 I used to open those distracting sites first thing in the morning without even realizing it. I ended up building a small Chrome extension called Effortless Learning that shows just one flashcard whenever I open a social media tab — turns that doom-scroll impulse into a quick learning pause instead. It’s been helping me rewire that habit.

Great video! I appreciate your efforts. I recommend not saying “like” so much. It’s a habit I had to learn to break too 😉
@SteveKim1The most problematic thing nowadays is that everything is on our phones we can't put our phones away we got messages and everything there even if I try to focus on hobbies to distract myself still I need phone to see tutorials or references and then I end up doing scrolling even if want to study everything is on my phone or we need it to search things on Google. Reading is the only hobby which can keep me away from screen at least for an hour 😢😞
@areebaimranareebaimran1030I can survive 3 months without phone and I know this because I have done it before just to prove my point I can survive without a phone but I'm on the phone now because of less likely to lose track on what you're doing when someone talks to me for example reading a book if someone talks to me when their done it's very hard to find where you left off on sometimes I would read the page all over again because of it
@superchanger-b2tStop scrolling on comments focus on video
@GideonKambweraIts been several months i deleted my instagram app , not account ( last time I thought I cant delete because i interacted with most of my friends there) but now i delete it and for friend interaction, i will log in in website and then log out again.
The things i feel are my attention span are so much better and i become more patient with boredom and hard stuff
I feel push towards social media because people never seem to be available to do anything; no matter the invites but I refuse to cave in to it, abundantly wise. 😊
@tamikawahl7540What made it click for me was a screen time app called ActionDash. Tells me how long I was on an app, when I opened it, how many times, the length of each session and notifications. Super detailed and helpful, and gives you rewards and a higher rank when you achive stuff like reducing your usage actively.
@Marii_BThis is all just common sense though?
@jellybean187Great!🤩🤣✌️👍
@maureenbennett8094:00 fun fact( i didn't read this from anywhere i observed it) most shorts/reels/etc let you have music on your vids because they're CATCHY. And many people just scroll so they can listen to random songs...so instead, just listen to music
@run_mirunaYou just pmo
@TyBalanceWhat really helped me was turning on greyscale mode, which basically makes my phone black and white. I think it's not as entertaining as the app icons are less inviting, and overall, just not that addictive!
@yourfaveomniI Am in my collage year right now and I needed to find a way to avoid my phone
@VictorNoriegaGarciaThank you for this it was so helpful
@VictorNoriegaGarciaSo when you first wake up , u don’t have morning meditations u personally do ?
@Be2810Try and keep your screen time under 6 hours a day 👍🏽
@cleveland216..Thank you soo sooo much for this tips although I know most of these things but to hear from you makes me feel more positive to follow and consume less on social Media
@sougataguha1433The what question gives us the power to be aware
@arashiOAgamingim gonna start writing a book so i can publish it while listening to happy music instead of scrolling youtube shorts
@CaitlinMarchI don't get it. How do you quit social media but still make online content???
@afoxcatartvideos4877Honestly my biggest aspiration is to be financially independent
@melaninishika5863I hate it when you want to stop scrolling but you can't for some reason
@Jess-qk1qhI tend to scroll social media in my break time after work to find something fun, entertaining. I will listen music or dance instead
@20-LâmMỹLinh-10A3I will plan to swap out my scrolling for listening to more music by Florence + The Machine in the morning! Their music is just so sensational and very inspiring 🤩
@justahooman-o9lYou can imagine that I watched the reels for two hours while watching this video. Unfortunately, there is no solution. The matter is stored. 😢
@TevraioAlternative to alarm clock is to buy a divoom (its a pixel engaging bluetooth speaker that works as an alarm clock and midnight art digital stand) => and then put ur phone away, this reduces the need to have ur phone by ur bedside cuz u "need an alarm clock", you can set repeat on this divoom speaker and put it next to ur bed.
Just ideating a few more ways:
1. You doom scroll in the morning cuz you want to feel cared for and loved, you can write quotes in the morning in ur iphone reminder app and itll remind u quotes uve wrritten down and truths and promises of god to you for the day :)
2. Next tip is to have somewhere to check on the 3 things u need to do the next day, ali abdaal has this as a physical note card and you can put it by ur bedside :)
I love your channel and content, Thank you❤
@YukinyaxFun fact: scrolling up and down actually signalled the brain to stay engaged which made us stay in social media longer than expected because it gives the brain energy
@EvyDino-fq9bjHonestly social media has both grown our communities and destroy people and their communities.
@leaslewalker-lytle6648Be happy be peaceful
🇳🇵Nepal kathmandu koteshwor from watching
Điều này quá xuất sắc, không thể chê vào đâu được!
@TrongCauPham91Instead of scrolling Instagram or tiktok I straightly go to pinterest and there I get ideas for my days, goals, self care, ect. This technique helped me a lot to get out of bing scrolling and wasting time
@neha_00876I wish i can print this video to remind me everyday
