Really helpful and ... calming!! I'm subbing tomorrow for 6th graders. Patterns and strategies helps everyone do better because it gives us all something to do that helps us.
I love it's not about controlling children, but creating an environment that makes a place for them to learn how to control their own behaviors. This also works better with my own "style" of interacting with kids and other people in general... you'd think after two kids and four grandchildren I'd have it all nailed down But it's a process, not an event, so I'll focus on creating a reasonable and calm learning environment for them and for me too.
Thank you also for your unhurried, clear delivery and pacing, and your uncluttered explanations.
