Thank you ted ed, now i can help myself

Your favorite athlete closes in for a win; the crowd holds its breath, and at the crucial moment ... she misses the shot. That competitor just experienced the phenomenon known as “choking,” where despite months, even years, of practice, a person fails right when it matters most. Why does this happen, and what can we do to avoid it? Noa Kageyama and Pen-Pen Chen explain why we choke under pressure.

Lesson by Noa Kageyama and Pen-Pen Chen, animation by Olesya Shchukina.

u do best when u ve been most through pressure and yk pressure

Studies show that an L-theanine supplement taken before a stressful event can help one perform better under pressure: "L-theanine is an amino acid commonly found in tea leaves. It is an effective tool for performance anxiety because it promotes relaxation without drowsiness. It eases nervousness and physical jitters while maintaining the sharp, cognitive focus you need to perform under pressure."

How can we avoid choking when it really counts?
Practice under stressful conditions.
Take deep breaths, have an external focus.
Practice under pressure will get you to achieve the goal.

So basically don’t get distracted by other thoughts but don’t think too much about what you’re doing. Just focus on the big picture and go with the flow.

The best way to be calm under pressure is to believe that everything will be fine at the end

@EnglishRisePodcast1

And one more honest point: staying calm doesn’t mean you won’t feel overwhelmed. It means you’ve trained yourself not to let the feeling take over the steering wheel.

The idea that pressure makes us focus too much on what should be automatic is mind-blowing — this explains so many exam and performance failures

As a person who stutters, I tend to think about the way I'm being perceived when I have a sudden blockage instead of focusing on delivering my thoughts which, in turn, leads to a severe chain of blockages. It's more of a subconscious thing at this point so I'm trying to learn the art of not giving a duck. Less thought, less stress, potentially less blockages.

See 100 meters movie
IT tells if u are goal oriented you will be stressed of what if I lose and can't perform.
Just enjoy what u do and have fun doing it not worrying about results.
The animes 100 meters and the ping pong animation tells the same thing.
So start enjoying what u do.

What is the point! Practice under pressure make the better outcome when we face pressure. I mean why a whole video just say it or write it? Waste my time.
