First tip: don't waste your money on Sony.

Maybe I am old fashioned but I don't care for all that mic gear being the star of the shot, why not just use unobtrusive lav mics and save those studio mics for audio only podcasts?

The two-camera setup for a single speaker can be distracting for some viewers (me, for instance), if the cuts back and forth serve no actual purpose other than "technical events" that allegedly add interest. Sometimes they really don't, so think it over: if what you are saying is not compelling in a long shot, maybe you should be saying it differently. Just a thought.

All in all very good tutorial - but I will suggest for everyone here to try not to stare at the accent lights on the counter - they should be dimmed or scrimmed so they're not so distracting

The RØDE branding on the mike arm is extremely annoying.

So as you're waving your hands about, you bump your mic. Settle down, bro... I believe you offer good helpful information, but you are, well, distracting from the story.

How do you record audio and connect those rode mics to those multiple video cameras? A video on that will be helpful.
