What does "2 units mean
@pltgolsilbroThank you!! I’ve been doing the normal syringe and draw insulin out but my daughter-in-law‘s father just had to change all his medicine and he had all kinds of the same exact thing that I take and he gave them to me and the pens are new… you made it easy thank you!!
@MamaS1990This yt short was so convenient and I prefer it over the other longer videos on this topic as those videos can feel discouraging. This was very helpful and I’m grateful I was able to help my mom who had anxiety around it being my first time.
@doralizadiaz7756This is hard for me. I don't like people sticking needles in me, and certainly don't like sticking needles in myself.
@blackspider9561Does it store in cool storage or normal tempreture ?
@naughtyboy5347She should show us a plastic tummy not a plastic heart
@DorothyDuffy-bd4orBut shouldnt we take the injection 45 degrees or 90
@moe72715Thank you
@BeetuzThank you so much for this video. It was simplified by the way you did it and showed it to us. I’ve never used a pen before this was my first time and it was literally the easiest thing I’ve ever done and painless thank you for your help. I give this video five stars for sure.
@joesprigg1369Not clear
@kennethverana5885Feeling a resistance while injecting is normal?
Do I inject with a 45 degree angle?
Thanks for making this easy as instructions are hard
@Okaygenxer1973Thank you it's my 1st time you teach very nice
@sananegi1824What the fuck I’m scared
@Usagi_bloomingtonThank you so much this helps me a lot especially when I’m a new diabetics type 1 ❤😊
@KatieHereToCreateU dnt show us u move to fast u r terrible
@JohnnieCampbell-fd5seWhere are the needles?
@KennethJohnston-d4jU did alot of wrong things in this video,1 u never washed your hands,u didnt sterilze the pen nor the skin and u didnt pull the area u inserted the insulin,a novice wouldnt know these things.
@seidigriffith2690Thank you ❤
@JessicaBracamonte-PriceThank you. They just started my dad on insulin, this was a huge help.
@Oceanus365Thank you so much because my dad has diabetes so that means that this helps a lot thank you so much
@CopperheadGeneDo you prime it with 2 units each time you use it or just the first time?
@Joanwiller6967Wait are you guys all doctors in the comments, if so I am living with type 1 diabetes it’s not fun but I got an Apple Watch!!
@8BIT_CREEPERso helpful, thank you so much! 🙂🙏
@alfonsonajera2439Anyone reading the comments can see she left out and messed up several things, because she's just a doctor with memorized directions to get a newby started. She's not actually doing the injections.
The 2 unit limit for priming a new pen is silly. Regardless of the quantity you have to see insulin coming out. I do two units at a time and repeat until insulin comes out immediately upon pressing the plunger. It might total 7 or 8.
Never accidentally throw away your last pen needle. They can be reused many times. It's much better to reuse several times than go without for lack of a needle. Just be careful recapping to avoid blunting the tip.
Not all pens click the same way. It's better to just always be careful to press the plunger firmly and with purpose.
The 'scar tissue ' thing is its own subject but if you start to see swelling in any injection area it's actually fat being stored there because you're overusing a site.
I could go on. But a better source for this information is a diabetic using insulin.
Do you need to prime it every time you use it or just one time per pin?
@ShelbyCannon-s2lIs a pen more expensive?? easier than a needle?
@mranderson5668Great tutorial
@GlucoseEaseusing an alcohol wipe to clean the pen each time prior to screwing on a needle AND priming the pen (dialing the pen) with 2 units is recommended as it ensures a patient screws on the needle properly and is truly injecting what he/she needs to inject.
@keonikeoni2678Is it painful, mam?
@ChaddoikkuHow to read ml dosage?
@kristycharmineescultorI think you should have used an alcohol wipe on the pen before attaching the needle???
@chickencooptown2499I clean off that part w alcohol swab
The part at end of pen and let dry a few seconds
It’s like when you clean top of a vial of medication
As someone with GHD this is almost exactly how I do mine, I use alcohol wipes to clean the top on the pen before adding the needle. I click it one click eject one click eject till the meds come out, I have to inject my arms legs and stomach rotating every night
@M1tsk1-x7zExcellent explanation...
Thank you .👍👌
Good to know, thanks
@elizabetheaton3882After numerous shortages on diabetic medications that I was prescribed and were working fine, i found a study where they drank cucumber lemon water. Add 1 gallon per day to clear out the sticky proteins in the pancreas, allowing it to work properly again. Essentially curing diabetes. I have done this now for three and a half months, and my glucose meter shows that my levels are right in the range to be not diabetic. I have seen 106 to 110 for my numbers. I am not telling anybody to try this.I'm not a doctor, but I will tell you that it did work for me. And just so you know, this was a study done in another country where they do not allow chemicals in their foods to make them sick, so they can give them medication as they do in the United States.
@DAVIDMARKIN-m9qGoing on the carnivore diet for at least six months and you want me to take that anymore
