Dear ETJ, FWIW, as I find you explanation for the [æ] very intuitive, so let me propose a small tip in rgds with pronouncing the ][ sound (sorry, I don’t have the correct symbol on my keyboard) - to my ear it sits somewhere halfway between [ i ] and [ schwa ] - something like a < schwa-stressed-towards-[i] > thing.
Sorry if the hint is actually a silly nonsense. (But that’s just how I hear it.)

7:21 /ʊ/ FOOT

Thanks a bunch
I really understand it now ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊

9:25 How to Check If You're Doing It Right (Course + WhatsApp Feedback)

English is my first language but I had no idea that things were so complex over the east side of the pond. I originally thought it would be easier to learn this but it seems like it's actually the more American style that's simpler.

You are a godsend! I teach English as a foreign language in my country and I am a non-native speaker. To me, the most difficult part of the English pronunciation is the wide range of vowel sounds. Thank you so much for your brilliant work!

I’m very good in getting the sound exactly how it supposed to be, the problem is that all my life I’ve been exposed to the American version of English and more recently to the Aussie one, so when I read any word it’s trick to know which vowel receives each sound in the British way haha

Hi Eliot! Thank you so much for this incredibly clear and helpful video on British English vowel pronunciation! Your explanations are so easy to follow and have really improved my understanding of these sounds. I've been struggling with British pronunciation for a while, and your teaching method makes everything click into place.
I was wondering if you might consider making similar videos covering other aspects of British pronunciation? It would be amazing to see you break down diphthongs and consonant sounds in the same detailed and accessible way. Your teaching style is perfect for learners like me who need clear, step-by-step guidance.

Ngl I'm so angry about this topic, I still can't learn these sounds because I am not even sure I replicate them correctly. I can hear the difference when someone speaks but to repeat and replicate? I make tons of the similar sounds but which one is actually correct 😵
