Imagine blackjack

— @_SweetLittleAngel_

RULES: https://link.triplesgames.com/blackjack

The object of the game is to bet against the dealer for hands as close to 21 as possible without going over.

An ace and a face card equals 21 points

— @DemT-c5e

Cards from 2-10 are worth their face value. Face cards are worth 10. Aces are worth 11 or 1, depending on which is more advantageous to the hand. Players make their bets on the round then the dealer passes out one card face up to everyone including themselves. Next the dealer passes out one more card face up to all of the players and one card face down for their own hand. If you are dealt 21, this is called a blackjack, if the dealer doesn’t also have a blackjack you win an amount equal to 1 and a half times your initial bet and you are out for the hand.

The rest of the players always go first before the dealer reveals their face down card. Before a player begins official play, however, they may opt to do either or none of two things: buy insurance or surrender. A player may buy insurance in case that the dealer has a blackjack. Insurance is equal to the bet initially made and is given back to the player if the dealer does in fact have a blackjack. Additionally, a player may surrender their hand if they are confident that they will lose. Surrendering gives the player back half of their bet while the other half is given to the dealer. After this, the dealer checks their hand to if they have blackjack. If they do, they reveal it immediately and the round ends.

Otherwise, starting with the player to the dealer’s left, and continuing clockwise, players try to get their hand closer or equal to 21 than the dealer’s, without going over. This can be done by hitting, standing, splitting, and doubling down.

there's a Vietnamese variant of blackjack called: xĂŹ dĂĄch. The rule is the same except for some changes:

The ace cards are either 1, 10, or 11 points

The ace card with a ten is considered blackjack

5 cards which are below our equals 21 is considered ngƩ linh(magic 5)

The players must face down their card after hit, the dealer is allowed to check the player's card. If the dealer's hand is bigger than the player, the dealer wins, otherwise the player wins. If the dealer has a blackjack, all the players lose

— @a-random-guy-p8g

You can choose to “hit”, and request an additional card from the deck. Hitting can be signaled by saying “hit” or tapping the table. If your hand becomes over 21 after a hit, this is called a “bust” and you automatically lose your bet, regardless if the dealer also bust. You may hit as many times as you like so long as you haven’t busted.

I am writing a computer simulation of Black Jack and I need to understand all rules perfectly. In your video, I find a couple of ambiguous / confusing / unclear moments (follows), –– please comment.
1. "Ace can be 11 OR 1": so how does the dealer count and decide whether it's a BUST or players can continue?
1-a. Especially if a hand has more then 1 ace. Can a player say "My Ace of Hearts is 1 and my Ace of Spades is 11"?

2: You say "You can stand BEFORE or after hitting" : what do you mean? Stand but then hit?

3. "If both you and dealer == 21, it's a draw (called "Push")" : OK, but what if both have say 18? I assume it's also a draw but you didn't make it clear.

4. What happens when the deck is close to empty?
-- say there are 2 players (+ the dealer) and there are 6 cards remaining:
-- theoretically it's enough but not in every situation...
In short: how / who decides to get a new deck (or whatever they do)?

5. Is "pure" black jack stronger then just 21 (i.e. is K+A stronger then K+5+6)?

Thank you!

— @MabookaMabooka

You can choose to “stand” to end your turn and keep the cards dealt. Standing can be signaled by waving your flat hand, palm down, across your cards. You can stand before or after hitting.

You can decide to “split” your cards only if the 2 cards originally dealt to you are a pair. Splitting turns the pair into two individual hands, each with their own bet equal to the player’s first bet. The dealer then deals you two additional cards to complete each hand and the player again has the options to hit, stand, split, or double down.

Could the dealer have more cards from different decks to play in a way of cheating

— @AgustinMendoza-q2j

You can decide to “double down” by doubling your initial bet. After the initial bet is made, the dealer gives you one more card after which you must stand.

Once a player has busted or stood, the next player clockwise goes. Once all the players have gone, the dealer reveals their facedown card and may hit and/or stand; usually revolving around specific rules on what number they do what. Once the dealer is finished, then everyone compares their hand against the dealer’s.

2:08 hehe

— @wubs-o2x

If the dealer’s hand is closer to 21 than yours, you lose your entire bet. If your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s, or your hand is equal to 21, you win an amount equal to your bet. If the dealer busts, then every player who didn’t bust wins an amount equal to their bet. If both you and the dealer have a blackjack or 21, you neither win or lose, this is called a “push”, and no exchange of bets is made.

After each round, all the cards in play are discarded but not shuffled back into the deck. Only once all the cards in the deck have been used is it shuffled.

“Buy insurance or surrender” wow, I didn’t realize insurance carriers had become so aggressive.

Do a “how to play blackjack Australian version”
The dealer does not get a second card immediately instead only getting it when everyone else has gone meaning there is no immediate blackjack for the dealer, automatic card shufflers also render what is said near the end moot, at some tables rules are different like you bust on a push but blackjack pays double or something I don’t remember and I never will play those tables anyway, I think that’s it
oh yeah you can only double down on a 9, 10 or 11 you can’t double down on any other number.

@Luka.5064
@

That’s not how it is in Australia.

@Luka.5064

WRONG! The object is to beat the dealer, closeness to 21 is secondary.

For people who only have one 54 deck (if you suspicions say that people are counting cards aka cheating )
Then make a waste pile and put 3 cards by is back faceing up.
If you run out of cards to hit then uss the leftovers from the waste pile and shuffle.

ALWAYS look at the table rules prior to deciding before playing. NEVER EVER play a table that pays 6:5 for blackjack. ONLY play a table thay pays 3:2 on blackjack. For example on a $100 bet
the dealer will pay $120. (100 divided by 5 times 6). A 3:2 table on the same $100 bet will pay $150 (100 divided by 2 times 3). STAY WAY FROM 6:5 TABLES.

Mistakes:
0:42 - Over 85% tables pays additional fifh instead of additional half.
2:43 - 1. Some tables dont allow to double after splitting 2. Some tables dont allow to resplit (especially aces) 3. Some tables have a rule that on split aces you must stay on both hands.
- Dealer must finish on 17. However, some tables draw on 17 (only on soft 17).
0:59 Some tables dont have insurance or/and dont allow surrender
