You put a lot of effort into this, I would say though that once you start talking about acrylic, using water to thin paint isn’t nearly as good as using golden thinner and also the end part about glazing.. I might have missed something but it felt like you didn’t explain what acrylic artists should be using for the glaze process. I have both golden open gloss medium and a glaze medium so I have options for acrylic artists who aren’t aware, the ending kind of leaves acrylic painters without any instruction. I know that glazing is super easy with oil paints compared to acrylic since the glazes can cause cloudiness if you aren’t using the right kind. In the future it might be good to show both processes or just focus on oil paints since that is the medium you used. Thanks for sharing, just wanted to give some feedback that might be helpful. Lastly, it would be good to mention keeping an atomizer or spray bottle of water available for acrylic artists since the palette of colors as you are doing the tedious work will dry up, I know you said to work on patches but that can be avoided if you recommend them to use open acrylics.

Me encanta tu trabajo y tu forma de enseñar. He vista ya varios de tus videos. Hoy tengo una observación, que tiene que ver con el lenguaje, o mejor dicho, con la traducción al español. En este idioma la palabra "caos" significa falta de orden y organización. Y en la traducción aparece algo como "La naturaleza es caos" y "al pintar el pelaje debe tener sectores caóticos". Lo que nos resulta exagerado. Me parece que sería más apropiado usar la palabra "desorden" , que es menos extremista que "caos". Así, "el pelaje pintado debe tener algo de desorden para que se ve vea más natural..,"

Great video! People tend to be intimidated by painting fur or realistic animals to begin with. But it doesn't have to be, there's a logic to everything. I'm a firm believer that talent doesn't matter, it's the learning, practising and applying of skills that will get you there.

Secondly, your painting is superb. The depth of the fur is outstanding. What patience you show with all the brushwork! I’ve been revisiting your videos repeatedly and I just can’t get the depth. I would like you to know Danielle that you are the first artist to take the time to show exactly a method of painting fur. Yes other artists have done so but they tend to speed the camera and it's over in a couple of minutes. there seems to be no breaking each step down and explaining the steps. Now I'm coming from a beginner point of view. I've only been painting for about a year but what I appreciate the most, at that means all the great artists that give of their time generously, is artists that slow the whole process down like you do. I've watched others paint fur and come away thinking "That still doesn't explain how to do it." I mean it's fun watching artists do their stuff and I watch in awe and truly appreciate the skill. I only hope one day to paint something meaningful. Than you Danielle.

Bonjour, je suis intéressée par vos cours mais je ne parle pas l 'anglais, apparemment ils ne sont pas accessible en sous-titrage avec une traduction en français contrairement a vos publications qui passent sur youtube où là ils sont traduits en français par le sous-titrage. avez vous une solution pour ce probleme pour moi?

Omg, this is a spectacular video! I enjoy landscape painting in acrylic and last year moved on to painting animals from our region, such as birds, otters, deer, moths etc. in gouache. I found that by building up layers with shadows and light before adding details for feathers and fur made them appear more realistic, but this video demonstrates just how much more I need to learn! Thank you! 🙏 ❤

Fantastic example and you did make it seem doable for someone who has never tried doing animals this way. Wondering is the glazing only if you use oils or does acrylic paints have a product that can be used that way?
