You hear more and more about hackers and computer viruses these days, and it seems like it might be impossible to protect yourself. But that's not really the case. Most of the time, getting "hacked" is completely avoidable, with some very simple best practices that we'll be going over in this video. Specifically we'll talk about behavior you should be doing (because the best antivirus is common sense), as well as preparations on your computer to stop any compromises of your system.

@tonyvn5817Hi Thio, my fb ad account got hacked and my card was credited for the cost of ads that was run by the hacker. He started with a mail from meta support saying that my ad account is blocked and to click the link to confirm that the account has no banned content, the whole thing looked so legitimate, once i clicked on it i was taken to my fb page with a popup from meta saying that my account is being verified only a few days later i realised that the hacker has created a page and is running ads under my account. i deleted all my pages. Is there any steps I can take to secure my account in the future?

@tomnemyk what i hate, when people see ".exe" in a file name they say: "VIRUSSSSSS" while .exe doesnt mean its a virus, it stands for execute, its a program that executes stuff, if it was true why isnt everyone scared of minecraft installer?? minecraft installer is .exe but no one says thats a virus? sorry but i think that thats just stupid.
@0xOffsetthat picture of a hacker is actually really realistic, im an ethic hacker and i always sit like that with my laptop. so you were right! also: it is true, doing those things makes it harder and almost impossible to get hacked, ive tested it on an old laptop and it is true, even when i cabled it it didnt work.

@flexgoofyMost hacks you won't notice until it is too late because these hacks go silently. Which is why it is best to know what you should be noticing for when a hack does happen. The slightest lag can be an indication that you have been hacked. Or you was lucky and it was just lag.

@OneAndOnlyZekePolarisVirus Total sucks. It scans safe files as threats and threats as safe. It even said that a website that hacks people, is safe. They said a scammer site is safe. But yet they said that a site that is safe is malware being used to hack people? That makes no sense..... Also their service is out of date. Their scan results are also out of date. I had a chat with their workers and they told me that their scan results are only the results that the AVs gave to them which they do not update every day.
@OneAndOnlyZekePolarisThat is why you should always, ALWAYS!!! fully check the file names. Also, even MP3 can be a hack tool. Scan your MP3 files one at a time. If any of them shows up as 2 files instead of 1 while being scanned, then it is a hacker's file.

@OneAndOnlyZekePolarisWhy would anyone give anyone else access to their account for? Could of sworn that every single business said it is illegal to create multiple accounts for 1 thing because it can be used for cyberbullying. That is why services IP ban users that breaks their TOS.

I can't tell you how many websites I have information on that have been hacked and still I stand without a blemish on my armor - take THAT hackers. (knock of wood)
