In Buenos Aires in a way we have "similar" habits, we walk everywhere, read at caffes, buy groceries at the local markets, lots of bakeries and bookstores anywhere (we are not that elegant haha a little bit revel but good people though)

It's true. Thierry lifestyle is european but France as a sense of beauty and à unique refinement. Somerville perçoive it, others don't or don't want to see it. Europe owes this art of living (restaurants, café terraces, etc...) to France, let's not forget that.

Unfortunately, here in the US, people are often conditioned to over achieve and work themselves to death. It's actually rewarded in our culture. "Life is short" you'll often hear or "you only have one life" so you better make it as profitable and successful as possible. I agree with living a simpler life and smelling the roses. It's just not as easy when you live in a culture that opposes that mindset.

Thank you, Helena, for your amazing video — it radiates so much warmth and care.
As an Asian woman, I used to think slowing down was a luxury I couldn’t afford. It wasn’t in our dictionary.
But after 7 years in France… I find myself falling in love with doing nothing. With sipping tea slowly. With walking aimlessly. With soft morning light and quiet dinners.
It changed everything in me — my rhythm, my nervous system, my relationship to life.
I just started sharing my journey of building a life in France on my channel Bienvenue Home — especially for those of us who left everything behind to start fresh.
I wish someone had shown me earlier how beautiful “being” can be.
Maybe it’s time we redefined success with softness and joy. 💛

Hmm.. Allergy to makeup and most perfumes. And the products often contain substances that are toxic to the human body. AND alcohol is toxic too. This is not real simplicity.
But I love the way they and the italians can buy the fresh bread and vegetables every day in small local stores. I did that in Italy for a month and miss it here in Sweden.
NOTE: This video is not sponsored. This description may contain affiliate links, but I never recommend products that I don’t love and use myself! :)
Thank you so much for watching my video! I post a new video on slow living, simple living and noticing the simple joys every week but if you're curious to see more of my content, check out my blog! I live a more French lifestyle by living in France, I try it in the states and I failed!

This is most of Europe. Only an American could think that this is 'a French thing.'
@TheAllisonLabi was writing to my sister who lives in Hamburg, Germany about how people shop in France. If you shop every day or every other day, then you have a physical and social experience, which is esp. important for those of us who are elderly. We both shop this way. (i live in Philadelphia.) I wish I could live with snacking less. But perhaps eating later in the evening is one approach to eliminate snacking at night.
@josephfreedman9422Walking in my country gets you robbed.
@sunshineysideoflifeI live in Europe and my favorite thing about France is the architecture and the many little details that create a unique, magical atmosphere.
@artsartemia4426They are very practical people as well! They don't stack things that they do not need! And it's not about being fancy but rather buying useful things
Also I was inspired by their ability to spend the day without checking their phones whether they're at work or even in social events!
Everyone is also fit because everyone has an activity that they like to do regularly and despite them loving to live a slow life they are very fast and focused on their tasks and in their conversations.
Americans still have a great deal to learn from older cultures.
@westsidebillingWalking is fine if you can walk if the distance is not too far. We are 4 kms from our closet shops. I have a foot injury so that distance is not possible. I do walk to the park at the bottom of our street.
@Kanga-53Bravo😉 un bonjour de pas loin, de molsheim😎
@alainottFilipinos do these too…and even more.
@francesdumaliang6132Is it true the french don't shower everyday? Please don't do that.
@euheroico✊🏻♥️
@InsideouttrainingWBLove this🎉🎉🎉 thank you. ❤❤❤
@drnicolebeaumont7884What you describe as "French" could be applied to Europe in general.
@fintonmainz7845I want to translate your video in hindi we take 50-50% of youtube earning please don't send the copyright
@krishnambajpaiabc8901I envy your friends. Everyone who sees you every day lived and was born that day. You are very beautiful and charming.
@shahramtayefi8398Most french people would never eat a sad salad at their desk from the office cafeteria.
...... nice dear.......
@shaliniksshaliniks8934Bake and cook from scratch more and just move a little slower all around. Love this video❤⚜️
@angiewinz1899Omg where is this amazing cat collar shirt from??!!
@ARTcreat13I don't wish to be near anyone wearing a mask.
@areguapirire-listening to these to ground myself in a time of need rn :3
@Reree-gz5bgWhat a beautiful way of life!!🪻🌸 You really got it down, girl..I just dream of living in Europe somewhere, and enjoy the simple pleasures of Life! I just got a Studio Apartment 9 months ago here in Las Vegas, though my plan is to move back home to Miami.. I want to meanwhile decorate my interior here in a way so that I can enjoy my life at every precious moment!👌 I don't go out much anymore, cos I'm so done living here? My heart is back home..🏝
@palomahealing5073But living in the U.S. is Not like living in Europe where many people live close together in villages , cities. We live much different where many areas you have to have a car. Not as many walkable living circumstances. You must know that !
@ericnorthman9410Your voice is soothing!
New sub btw
In nutshell - French know how to worship their body as holy temple and others worship their beauty
@sowparnikakrishna7183You are a breath or fresh air
@Historyvisual1982This could be applied to all European countries, I believe. But I love the french architecture the most! It creates THE atmosphere that makes everything a little different. ❤
@moreamour2869Iv'e found that if you don't slow down, you can miss the best things in life. So yes, slow down, and enjoy the little thing you can miss rushing through life.
@serinachilders74I loved your message! It actually brought tears to my eyes because: (1) I lived that way in San Francisco from 1982-1990 ❤️ and had to move to a suburb in Florida 😢 and left that lifestyle behind. (2) You reminded me to be true to myself and the tears are mourning my self neglect. (3) The tears are also ones of joy; giving myself the permission to celebrate the rest of my life every day without remorse and regrets from leaving my ❤️ in San Francisco. TYSVM 💕xoxo 🤗
@MissDebiJ'adore le français
@sjtkumar978Walking to get groceries sounds lovely until i remember that last year, here in Austin metro, we had 68 days of triple digit temps (& my store is 3 miles away). 😒
@wendyeames5758no buses or sidewalks where I live. I wish there was a way to walk to stores, ect.
@KarmicSaltWhat a wonderful post! Thank you 🥰
