How to Improve English Writing Skills (Without Studying Grammar)

Video Overview & Insights

In this video, you'll learn how you can improve your written English by "copying the way native English speakers write."

Want to improve your spoken English? Practice with my lessons: https://engfluent.com/course

— @EngFluentTV

The writing exercise I share in this video has been used by many writers to sharpen their writing skills. It's my favorite way to practice my English writing.

Really helpful video, explained clearly and made the topic easy to understand 👏

These tips are really practical. One additional tool that accelerated my English writing improvement is BeLikeNative — a Chrome extension where you highlight any sentence and get a better-written version with one shortcut. It teaches you natural phrasing by showing you how a native speaker would write the same thing. Much better than just relying on grammar checkers that fix errors but don’t improve your style.

1. Select the material that you want to learn.

2. Understand the sentence, and take a moment to memorize it.

3. Try to write it from memory. If you cannot remember it completely, use another word to replace the one you forgot.

4. Compare the sentence you wrote with the sentence in the original material.

5. Fix your mistakes, and write the sentence one more time

Thank you for sharing this video❤ actually I find it difficult to convey my words from my mother language into english both when speaking and writing. I can say that I've mastered when listening, be able to understand every single word without looking at any translator tool but it's super hard to me when I have to write something like emails, job app letters, and articles when the use of verbs and variety of nouns needed to make them complete and easy to understand. Kinda get me stressed over something that I've been dealt all this time. But, because of ur video, I think it will be able to help me to face this difficulty and hoping that someday I can confidently write something without being scared of mistakes.

Here's the Gospel! (It's your choice whether to follow God or not and I don't force you into religion :) )
God (Heavenly Father) sent his only son (Jesus Christ) to the world to save us, Jesus Christ grew up a sinless life and began to preach the good news (which is about God), He did many miracles: He healed the sick, lame, blind, deaf, and more. He even cast out demons and raised people from the dead. But people hated him especially Pharisees and Sadducees because they think that Jesus is blaspheming and that He was an evil man. And they decided to crucify Jesus on the cross and Jesus Christ didn't argue but accepted it. So He was slashed, persecuted, spitted on the face, and people mocked Him. He did this for YOU. Jesus Christ carried the heavy cross, got nailed to the cross, and died there. Yet even those people who are persecuting him, He forgave them. On the third day, He rose from the dead and ascended up to heaven 40 days later. After Jesus defeated satan: Thus doesn't mean we can just sin and live freely whatever we want to. Remember that we were supposed to have faith in God and not to follow worldly things. And that sin SEPERATES us from God. God bless you
