"It's just as good as airplane food"

Has airplane food gotten better recently? I can't really remember the last time I actually had airplane food, if ever, but from everything I've heard it's almost universally terrible... how is that a selling point?

We sell online (eBay, etc) where it’s “take it or leave it” 90% of the time with incoming offers.. outgoing is a 99% waste of time. It too is a one-way deal. The offer just floats off into the ether. There is zero interaction with another human.

There is no way. The buyer wants to pay the least to get the stuff. The seller wants to get the most selling that stuffs. They are in eternal conflict. To make a deal in today’s system, at least one side must think that their other side is an idol and screw him over.

Bruh, either they'll pay/sell at the price you want or not. Everything else is a trick by one side to get more from the other. If I make an offer and they don't take it, I walk. Thank them for their time and that's that.đŸ€·

That's why you gotta play the game.... You have to ask for more than you want, I flip Classic Cars, IF I want $10,000 for a car I'll list it for $12,000, WHY? because EVERYONE, even a Noob is low ball you with $7,000 or $8,000. so you we meet in the middle, I get the 10k I wanted to begin with and you get to tell everyone you "got a smoking deal".

@TheREALOC1972

Part 2: alternatively lowballing and pressing them. Obvi jk

Lmao I asked Hot Topic for a raise ($1 more) and during the conversation I had brought up my tenure, attendance, sales and loyalty numbers, store sales, staff morale, quality of staff, and that Hot Topic was trending to half a billion in store sales. I was told by the DM of 20 years that Hot Topic didnt reward any of those things because Hot Topic is a job no one should make a career out of and not only was $1 out of the question any raise was out of the question.

@SammyNail

I was looking to buy a car on Marketplace. I went to see it in person, and it was in... quite a bit worse shape under the hood than what was shown in the photos, and it turned from a seemingly decent value to an absolutely terrible value, with that knowledge. It was being sold by a disabled family in section 8 apartments, they didn't know just how bad it was, if they were selling it at cost they were absolutely ripped off. But, I didn't have the funds to be able to justify the price with the repair needs that I saw, so I did have to give them a pretty brutal counter offer for what it was worth, but I followed it up with a list of things I saw that needed to be repaired, because while I knew they'd probably turn down the offer, I mean a man can dream but let's be real I was offering less than half the listed price, I wanted to give them the complete and unfiltered list of why I was offering so low, so that when they turned it down they had an idea of what they needed to chase. I felt really bad for them that I couldn't afford to buy them out of that hole, but I do hope that they were able to figure out how to keep it on the road; some of the issues were legitimately dangerous problems to have and they were, probably still are, using it daily.
I still feel bad for aiming so much lower than their price, even if it was ultimately the actual value of it.

Haven't finished the video yet, just got done with orange splitting part. Issue I see is most of the time its money. Someone wants more and the other person wants to give less. I know there are some ways to spin it to knowing what each other want, but still.

I live in Australia. The buy sell scene is very different from other parts of the world and imagrents often find out this the hard way.
Most Australians don't like negotiation, we like to price to sell and will be savy for a low advertised price rather then negotiate. We hate low ballers and time wasters and will often ignore people who try negotiate before meeting in person. We also have no patience for people who simply ask lowest price or last price in their messages before even asking any questions about the item being sold do this and you will be ignored and or blocked. Many Australians will value a low quick effort sale, a genuine in need buyer and someone who values what they are selling. Australians are very prone to giving better deals to people they like and trust with price alone not being the single most determining factor. Also if they don't like you they will not sell it to you on principle.
Australians are interested in getting a good price on their purchase or sale, not if they where able to out negotiate the other person. Generally speaking haggling on price is generally fround upon in Australian culture. If your list price is too high the consequences it will have no interest and not sell and if it is well priced below market value it will sell quickly, simple as that.

Also interesting strategy I personally find that works that contrasts the "increase the pie" strategy is "decreases the pie" strategy. Similar to juice vs peel in your explanation.
This is useful when a buyer is making a point that they are working within a budget yet what your selling is quite obvious outside their budget. Instead of lowering your price to meet their budget you strip away value to get to their budget. I buy and sell RC cars and what this means is remove batteries, charger, motor, radio from the item to decrease the value to fit their budget.
By doing this you also figure out if their budget is genuine or they are just trying to work you down on price.
I helped my brother do this on an actual car he sold, we agreed to buyers lower the price but made it clear that meant buying the car unregistered.

They agreed and after driving vechile to buyers house he stared taking off the number plates to return and cash in the existing plates to the motor registry. When the buyer saw this he realised his mistake and payed more to keep them on.

Always walk in knowing the answer is no.. That way walking away is already the expected plan giving u the confidence to shuck and move... 2nd. Know what the walk away point is and stay firm to it... 3rd always point out ur cons its ammo .. If someones dealing u how amazing a car/whatever is respectfully bring up the lil things u noticed that need fixing amd then cost... If its a raise respectfully talk up every lil thing u do that adds value and how ud love to here what more responsiblys u could shoulder if the company could provide alil more financial stability.... If u strike out ull at least know what there looking for when u ask 6months later

Finance through the dealership at 20%+ in order to get a lower out the door. As soon as you go home, refinance through whatever lending institution will give you a better rate. Next day, take that check to the dealership's finance dept. Congrats you have now saved thousands.

Yes this works. Yes I have done it.

No, I’m gonna still treat these crackhead sellers like pieces of shit in their comment sections when they’re trying to sell something that’s rotted out clapped out. It has blow by like no other yet. They think it’s worth 10 grand because it’s been sitting in their yard and it’s an old car. They’re smoking crack and they deserve to literally be treated like shit because essentially they’re no different than PokĂ©mon card collectors fucking scalpers thinking that something they decided to give up on and let right away in their yard is now worth a small fortune is fucking crazy even if it is a desirable car you gotta replace the entire fucking floor. Those people are just crackheads thinking they know what they have but they don’t actually know what they have, they just watch Barrett Jackson, and then think the price of the car that’s rotting away in their field is worth that skipping over the fact that whatever rolls up on Barrett Jackson has been fully restored or resto modded like I like watching your videos dude but now there’s no way to get a deal out here you can try and be as kind as possible, but if somebody smoking crack and trying to sell something for over nine grand that ain’t worth it they’re stuck smoking that crack and believing that price is valid

For a car I don't care if I damage a relationship with a scummy shitty car dealer. Almost every single one lies and is trying to screw you over. When I bought a motorcycle they had us there for over 4 fucking hours and then the finance guy tried to sneak in things we already had negotiated down on paper. My next car I'm getting negotiated for me by Deliverd, never going through this psychologically damaging process of enduring some gaslighting lying greedy person spamming nonsense at me for hours.
