So in this video we are going to cover all 5 tummy time positions, which will make tummy time easier for you and your little one.

Intro: 00:00 - 00:49
Thank you! 2nd time pregnant, baby due any day now. Revising all the newborn material 😅
Tummy Time Position 1 (tummy time on the floor): 00:50 - 01:44
Tummy Time Position 2 (tummy time in arms- football hold): 01:45 - 02:41
Thank you! I was reading an article and couldn't imagine what they were describing. This was super clear and helpful!
Tummy Time Position 3 (tummy time on your chest): 02:42 - 03:31
Tummy Time Position 4 (tummy time across your lap): 03:32 - 04:09
The last position is terrifying. I will do the other 4 instead.
Tummy Time Position 5 (tummy time on an exercise ball): 04:10 - 04:55
Summary: 04:55 - 5:24
I don't dread tummy time.. my little boy loves it. He just seems to hate everything else about being on Earth... just screams his head off

Really great video's thank you - so helpful. the only problem is that the music is so loud that it feels like you are shouting to be heard over the loud music which makes it hard to concentrate for the listener.

Great advice. Thank you! I already knew about the importance of Tummy Time and the use of the Boppi Pillow and lap to facilitate that in newborns but didn't know the correct positioning. Thanks again for sharing this video.

My first baby is 1 month old and I've unknowingly been doing a ton of chest to chest tummy time with him. Was afraid I wasn't doing enough since we didn't do the traditional way a lot yet, simce he seems to hate that😅
@loes6839Thanks!
@cindymonk6994The exercise ball one looks dangerous, I’d be scared she’d slip out of my hands
@IzzyNChristWhy is tummy time important? Would be great to explain this in the beginning
@sibahlemalinga3320Thank you
@ezeonyilimbapatricia7207If I do the chest to chest position and the baby falls asleep on my chest, does that no longer count as tummy time and is now just a nap? 😅
@vickywong303Great! I could think only of 3 positions myself! My baby is 3 months now and i will definitely incorporate football hold and knees position in our routine! Thanks a lot!
@annakashchenko4537What would you advise doing in two months? old with a G- tube

@NoeDactylHello? When do you start feeding baby pureed food
@charityfyock9928New mom of a one month old and I feel like I have to binge watch all your videos!
@aria9615I have a 5 week old and I’ve been doing chest to chest. I’m not sure if this is normal but she’s always been able to lift her head right from birth and seems to be quite a strong baby. I downloaded the milestone checklist and she already ticks all the boxes of 0-3 months. I might graduate her to floor time soon and see how she goes :)
@angiecats5298You’re amazing!! I love your channel and the tone you take with all your excellent advice. It’s honestly so encouraging for new parents, thank you so much.
@Terre11117Could you use a wedge instead of a boppy pillow?
@coleenvandamme5349Mmmmmm
@DavidWilliams-b6l7zThank you so much ❤
@soklyhuy9071Hi Emma. My baby is 6 months old now. I didn’t do much tummy time for him. Should I do these exercises for him now or something else must be done? TIA
@Emanshahid8Thanks
@celgibson7219Incredibly grateful for your videos, and at the same time, incredibly mad at the medical personnel that followed me throughout my pregnancy and labor for never ever even mentioned those things to me
@TrashMail-ue4ppBeing in tummy time helps baby brain development even the simplest way the baby lifts their head even helps them to grow stronger and develop cognition and brain activities... But I wonder how parents determine the right time to start developing tummy time.. i mean im not being weak but boy do they cry a lot how do I make them grow from this and bear the pain and grow a little resistance and become strong, i dont want them growing irritated as well.. huhu. So how do you know at what age or the right time to start doing tummy time together?
@AiRaiKazinskiMy recovery was rough on me so I couldn’t stand or walk around holding my baby, so I incidentally would do tummy time on my chest with her everyday. I was completely unaware we were even doing tummy time officially until now, she’s two months old today! She has strong neck and leg muscles now! She’s a champ with traditional tummy time before of it.
@mamokitty19How
Soon can I start this? He is 3 days old. I’m good at burping, farting, swaddling, diapers.
Is side sleeping ok? What’s the best sleep posture for a new born? What about his cord? Do you hold there face or let them face plant and practice picking it up? Again 3 days old. Anyone any pointers?
Thank you very much! We have a 2 month old baby who is having difficulty lifting his head and strengthening his muscles. In a few weeks we will go back to the doctor to see how he is and these 5 positions were very useful!
@carinarodriguesdealmeida9507Thank you so much dear ...... your videos are very helpful for us❤
@kanwalzehra7614Love this! THANK YOU!!!
@channykbEmma help! My baby just recently turned 3 months and we have been doing tummy time as much as we can.lately he spreads his arms out during tummy time instead of close to his body which makes his face flat on the ground. I did see him trying to move his whole body forward as if he is crawling.is this normal? He has good neck control when he’s up.
@AwaisAneesa-kl5ecThank you Emma, my 2 week old new born is now doing pushups
@davidrudd4869Im really struggling to fit an hour of tummy time in a day. My boy is 4 months old, he cries after about 5 minutes of tummy time but has a strong neck and core. I always mean to di several sessions a day but hes either just been fed, sleepy and tired or asleep! Think he has about 5 hours of naps in the day time. How long after feeding do you need to leave before timmy time? Im really struggling as a new mum and feel like im getting it all wrong 💕
@rhianonlouisesadler1927How long should babies have tummy time for?
@allisonpinkerton827Am I the only parent that does tummy time with the kiddies on an actual bed? 😩
@zakariyaHarrisonI still to chest to Chest tummy time I love it but not as much know. She is 5 M
@monicalewon4220My problem is that my son loves to be on his tummy and he just goes to sleep. :(
