Oh no... those disgusting plastic containers((( I keep everything in glass containers, they are nicer to the food, they are dishwasher safe and they are NOT plastic. They last forever, unless you break them. But heat-resistant containers are quite durable.
Or at least stainless steel containers, convenient gastronorms.

buy subprimals, butcher them yourself, much cheaper, just as good; freeze items first then store rather than store then freeze; e.g., butcher prime rib subprimal, cut into steaks, dry brine, arrange on parchment paper lined sheet pans, freeze, then store all in a freezer bag; saves freezer bags (less to wash after use)

i have started to use in lieu of salt as it adds the umami flavor that is usually the topper, I add salt secondary now if it is needed. I do use salt on proteins 24 hours in advance (like a pro) to help bring out the enzymes

My freezer and refrigerator space is extremely limited. One tip I would like to add in regard to homemade stock - after straining out the scraps, put the stock back in the pot and simmer until the volume reduces by half. Now you have a concentrated stock reduction that takes up a lot less space. When youβre ready to use it, just add water! π

The kitchen of my dreams. π
I started with the typical round βdeli containersβ hyped by most cooking content creators. Then I got smart and found square βfreezer containersβ and use them instead. They make so much more sense when you think about it.

Board scraper to pick up small herb cuts from the cutting board, definetly will get one. Always just picked up the cutting board held it of the pan and used the back of my cooking knife to push them into the pan.
MSG = Adds love to your dish, i use it from time to time, especially dishes with cream or cheese based sauces benefit from it a lot. But for most dishes you already get quite a lot of umami flavor from other ingredients, like meat, tomatos, mushrooms or hard cheese.
In the western world there is a common (wrong) believe, that MSG is bad / bad for your health.. So people donΒ΄t use it directly which is a shame, but on the other hand they use "broth powder" which is essentially Salt, MSG and often some often strange tasting flavoring..
Better add the MSG and salt directly and pick / create the flavor you like yourself from herbs and ingredients as well as cooking process.

Pretty sure that Dooby has the even bigger MSG container :)
@erichkoffGood to see you guys again! The algorithms have been hiding my favoritesβ¦
@michaelc6826too many tips this is too hard
@LarsDidriksson-w8iwhy apron
@LarsDidriksson-w8iwhy is it so much work ?
@LarsDidriksson-w8i1 thing about mise en place, its not just cooking as it really applies to any level of preparation. As a waiter making sure the trays were in the right spots and the coffee machine was dialed in was also mise en place for example. I think its helpful to understand its not a cooking tip but a tip about workflow in general.
@BucketzofBordoWhat size were those silicone rice containers 650 mil 350 mil?
@krob777I'd love a video where you go through a meal cook from start (prepping containers, ingredients etc) to end (storing etc). And all the in-the-moment small wisdom thst comes in between
@Jay-kx4jfWhat about cleaning those containers. Minced garlic? Spoon container.
