▬▬▬▬ Video Transcript ▬▬▬▬

Hey everyone, it's Matt, and today I'm going to show you how to change your Netflix playback settings. I’m logged into my Netflix account on desktop, so let’s dive right in.

First, you want to head to the top right corner of the screen where you’ll see your account picture or avatar. Click on it, and from the dropdown menu, select "Account." This will take you to a page where you can manage various settings.

Next, scroll down to the "Profiles" section and click on it. You’ll see a list of profiles associated with your account.

Choose the main profile that you want to change the playback settings for. In my case, I’m selecting my Matthew profile, which is the master profile.

Now, you’ll see a list of preferences, including language settings, parental controls, and subtitle appearance. What we’re interested in is the "Playback Settings," which is located about halfway down the list.

Click on that option to access the playback controls. Once you're in the playback settings, you’ll notice the autoplay controls at the top.

It's important to remember that these settings apply specifically to the profile you're editing. If you want to change settings for all profiles, you'll need to do that individually for each one.

Here, you can choose whether to autoplay the next episode in a series on all devices. If you find that feature annoying, you can simply uncheck the box.

There’s also an option for autoplay previews while browsing. I personally find this feature bothersome since it starts playing trailers when you hover over titles, so I have that turned off.

But if you like it, feel free to keep it on. Next up is the data usage per screen setting.

I have mine set to auto because I have fast internet at home. If you're in an area with slower internet, you might want to set this to low or medium.

For those with great internet, setting it to high will allow for ultra HD streaming whenever possible. I usually find that the auto setting works well, but if you’re frequently moving around or using a mobile connection, you might want to adjust this based on your situation.

After you’ve made your selections for playback settings, don’t forget to click on "Save" to ensure all your changes are applied. And that’s it!

You’ve successfully changed your Netflix playback settings. I hope you found this video helpful.

If you did, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe for more tips like this!
