I do talk about if you should buy silver coins or bars and if you should buy silver online as well. It is very hard to buy silver at spot price, but occasionally deals pop up. "Raw silver as it comes out of the ground" is not what spot price is about. What comes out of the ground is silver ore. After it is processed and purified to a specified purity (99.9% is standard) THEN it is valued at spot.
The TLDR version of this (about 30 seconds) is: buy the largest pieces you can afford. If all you can afford is 1 oz, go for it. If you can afford 10 oz pieces, do that instead. Don't buy any round that claims different prices for different mint years.
