How The US Military Changed Sniping Forever?
Video Overview & Insights
Well in World war 1 and world war 2, the US army and marin corps would set up sniping schools but when these wars ended the schools were disbanded and the armaments dismantled creating problems each time a new conflict started. However this all changed in the 1960s in a way that still affects the US army and US military as a whole today
they should have put aim aissit on. just give em a controller problem sloved

@just_violet50k rounds for a Vietnamese soldier
@leekalemon50,000-200,000 rounds to get a kill ? Seems very wrong
@tim9133Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock U.S.M.C held the record for longest recorded kill for decades, crawled for 3 days across open ground behind enemy lines to take a single shot at a high ranking general. That's man is a sorry to cover in and of itself
@carsonbarrett2529How tf u get 1.3 bullets, are u just shooting 1/3 of the round, cutting of the tip and just shooting the shell with actual powder
@GudboinorwayRussell: "Here snipe snipe snipe"
@AA_cowgomooShould be mandatory for all enlisted personnel from cook to supply to wherever.
@ddouglas3687Sniper using 0.3 of the bullet to kill their target.

@The-W-BreadThe USA BARELY fought in WW1
@Wolfy-Wolfo“Telescopic scopes”
So telescopic telescopes?
Why is no one pointing out that 50,000 to 200,000 is a ridiculously high amount?

@DWhite-TheWolf,,telescopic scopes" 🤤
@WiliiamekWe just had a family friend pass away who was a Vietnam Veteran. His only daughter said he never talked about the war. After he passed they found his military discharge papers and awards. He was one the top snipers of the war and had received every award you could think of some multiple times. His daughter had no clue about any of this.
@Carolinian4372So your trying to claim that in the short time between the end of the Korean war and the Vietnam war all snipers just vanished and the knowledge did to 😂
@williamehringer85371.3? that makes no sense
@portal_goodplayit4030No mention of Carlos Hathcock?????
@ExtraFart.Repent of your sins And turn to Jesus ! Today is the day of salvation !😊
@VladutzOdovancaI do not believe 1967 and 1969 those are the 2 meme numbers i do not believe you
@Ganerial-k7gCrazy how he made a video about snipers and never mentioned the guy who pioneered sniper school, good ol' Carlos "White Feather" Hathcock.
@PvtParts296How the hell do you use 1.3 bullets, that's my question
@JoshPinecone-k4rI have this funny feeling that this was a very American thing.
Although I know specialised and Special forces regs in the UK were initially disbanded here in the UK post ww2 (The SAS for example) but they were brought back kinda quickly after.
We've had a dedicated rifles reg since the Nepoleonic wars aswell.
Although smaller military so more dedication to drills, skills and training.
Not sure about the rest of Europe snipers wise though.
I remember learning about Carlos Hathcock in the Marine Corps. Also to mention my Father being a Scout Sniper in Desert Storm. I learned a lot on the history of sniping and how it came to be. A lot of crazy stories based on true events and how some of those events made it destined to what it is today.
@USMC-GhostDrones have already finished traditional snipers now. They will never be the same.
@LukePinna>yeah we'll never need this again
>damn we need this again
>eh we'll never need this again
>damn we need this again
>surely we won't need this again
>you're never gonna believe this but we need it again
Vietnam war was not a guerilla war.
@kofola9145What are the movies used in this video?
@Greko_1821I like peeing in jars and sniping people because sniping's a good job mate.
@GasmasxIts annoying the way our government does things
@jaxenmarks46And then, soviets kicked american balls with the SVD - true marksmanship.
@vsevolodd391What a waste of men and knowledge 👍 yep MERICA
@robinraphaelThey originally veiwed sniping as unhonorable too. Thats one of the reasons they kept getting rid of it.
@FluffyActualThey do it every time. They are saying it again now. 😂
They never learn.
Vietman finally put some brains into the U.S army brains
@CarlosJr-q7bamericans are not the brightest, noted
@LuckyPhox-j4iHey. You know we didn't enter any wars in between korea and vietnam, right? So what the f*** do you mean since Korea, every single time a war popped up, we didn't have snipers ready until Vietnam? A little bit of research goes a long way. Like, I would dislike this video if youtube didn't take that away.
@Cutface141“So remember that one really successful program we used in combat? Yeah let’s just go ahead and get rid of that.” ~ The Army
@vincentanimationsxd1651160
@gew43The Army Sniper School became permanent in 1987, true. But the Marine Scout Sniper School became permanent in 1977. But in 2023 the Marines ended their dedicated 12 week Scout Sniper School program.
