Isn't it ironic how the founding fathers decided on an electoral college because "They were a afraid a direct vote would elect an unsuitable president". Somebody tell the founding fathers their system elected Nixon, Reagan, The Bushes, and Trump. I'm pretty sure the electoral college isn't working. Or, it's working as intended- to keep power and wealth in the hands of oligarchs.

The U.S. electoral map is very unfair for the Republicans. New York is a clear Democrat State. It has 28 electoral votes. Why? New Jersey has 14 electoral votes. Also, a Democrat state. America must consider redrawing the electoral map to make it more balanced and fair. California is always a Democrat win. Why?

They created the electoral college so that the states elect the president otherwise there wouldnt of ben a union back then. Idk why she glossed over that it was NOT thier concern of a bad president it was their concern of certain states not joining the union unless under the promise of having a subsidized voice.

So the public gets the popular vote and if the votes in a state lean towards one candidate than the other, the electoral college (all the memebers) have to vote with what their state voted on?

Why not just take the percentage of votes in a state and divide it according across the electoral college. Its makes more sense. Eventhough across the world there are a lot more bletter systems of election

The number of electors changes every 10 years, depending on the census count for each state. States can gain or lose House seats depending on increase or decrease in population in that state. After the 2020 census Pennsylvania lost 2 house seats due to population loss. It also lost 2 electors also.

Eligible voters out of 1.4 Billion voters go for voting, Electronic Voting Machines record their choices and as soon as voting is completed across the country, next day itself, vote counting is done and BINGO.....you have the result! ........................... The US election system doesn't work. It's a nonsense whereby the person with easily the most votes can lose the election to the opponent because of the outmoded undemocratic electoral college system 😐
