I don't know why they didn't allow parents to contribute tax deferred like a regular 401k or traditional IRA.
I think parents would be much more likely to contribute to it if there was a tax advantage to do so.
I thought the child could keep the account for retirement but you said they had to remove the money by the time they're 25 which doesn't make sense. You're not going to find that many employers contributing to your account before the age of 25. Although if you work at a family business it might allow them a tax deduction😂

You as a parent will contribute money into that savings account post taxes taken out but the earnings will be taxed on your child’s tax bracket that will be much higher given that he’ll have zero dependents more than likely

I can explain. Banks make millions with the trust money tax free for the next 15 to 20 years. Companies who contribute get some tax breaks. We all continue to get screwed. And so on...

Right so dumb but yet we are in a trillion dollar deficit and they are going to take that money and invest it towards stocks for them ? Isn’t the stock market crashing at this current time do to tariffs I’m so lost and why would people do that when they are already doing that through insurance ( life insurance, plus when they pass on not everyone but most leave a bit of cushion money for their kids and also through their insurance if the parent was to suddenly pass away at a young age, just dumb if you really listen to what he’s saying you can read between the lines of what he’s actually doing still nothing that has benefitted anyone yet I’m waiting for those results

@CGunterPortfolioCorruption!
@AbigailEvelinMurilloRamirezI was hoping they were just getting rid of the Roth age requirments
@williamadams4855HELLLOOO yaaaaa daahhhh where the heck is the account set up at, and how exactly does the initial $1000 get deposited ⁉️🤤⁉️
@TheYabManI would not put money into this account all of these thieves in Trump cabinet
@michellepowell9146TAX-DEFERRED (versus TAX-FREE) - a Bad Idea!
Ted Cruz and Brad Gerstner of Alimeter Caital came up with this idea. A better name would be "Trump Savings for Dummies!" Sure it is a good idea to incentize people to start saving - but there are LOTS of better ways to do it. Can you imagine ending up with $50k or more in an account like this and only being able to invest in a single security? Not too smart.
There is this little thing called Diversification - which on its own makes 529's a whole lot better way to save. 529s also grow tax-fee (not deferred) - a huge benefit over Trump Saving account. Imagine the "tax bomb" you are setting up for your child saving this way.
A good invest rule.... whether you can invest tax-free versus tax-deferred, DO IT! 529s, Roths, etc.
My suggestion: Once the IRS writes the rules on these things, do the minimum required to get the free $1,000 per child and put in no more.
Great content 🎉

@viswajith-vichuRedistribution of wealth! I don't want to pay for your kids' savings/investment accounts. Not my problem if you can't afford to have children.
@otrebla8944Trump is the best president ever
@LupacmadethisI have not heard that these accounts need to be liquidated at age 25. Can someone provide a reference link to that?
@straitjacketstudiosStudent loan forgiveness was criticized because not everyone went to college for free.
This is allowed because Trump. Got it.
