Video Overview & Insights

My brain has definitely-- most definitely!- shrunk over the years ..had negligent mother & post marriage, had continously stressful time with husband & in laws....I can't do social small talk anymore, memory is bad (though I hv checks & balances to help me get thru the day)..but if exercise & meditation really help, maybe tgs aren't that bad, coz I used to walk miles when younger &-- pray...hopeful that tgs aren't as bad as the balance sheet shows right now.

Stress isn’t always a bad thing; it can be handy for a burst of extra energy and focus, like when you’re playing a competitive sport or have to speak in public. But when it’s continuous, it actually begins to change your brain. Madhumita Murgia shows how chronic stress can affect brain size, its structure, and how it functions, right down to the level of your genes.

I'm not stress, you are stressed making opinions and drama 😂

I get at least 20 verbal abusive words of high level daily from my family but I don't say a single wrong word 😔😭.

Simple things that actually help reset the brain over time include consistent sleep, daily quiet moments (even 10–15 minutes), walking or light exercise, and limiting constant mental overload (like nonstop scrolling or multitasking). Prayer, journaling, or breathing slowly for a few minutes can also help calm the stress response.

ptsd for 11 years. and more trauma since then. I never thought medication was real. so I didn't want to try. now I accept that my brain is wounded. I'm only hurting it more by not trying it at least. to see if it can help.
