I think with all the stress everyone's going through, every family should appoint someone within the family to be that safe-zone to hold sanity within..said person should elect to not hv high flying job, whatever, so as to be able to take care of family members who come bk from doing battle outside & help nurse their wounds. ..in return, the family unit should care for this person's existence. ...

Our hard-wired stress response is designed to gives us the quick burst of heightened alertness and energy needed to perform our best. But stress isn’t all good. When activated too long or too often, stress can damage virtually every part of our body. Sharon Horesh Bergquist gives us a look at what goes on inside our body when we are chronically stressed.

Thank you for your input/ information,,, but after YEARS AND YEARS OF STRESS,,, I don’t mean, the cat spilled the food bowl, I mean MAJOR STRESS/ JOB/ taking care of meals/ cleaning house/ raising children/ TEENS/ and issues with “ home life” feeling alone,,, honestly, I’ve tried TAKING WALKS( when I could) I’ve tried not arguing, closed my bedroom door, at work, I fell to the floor” out of NOWHERE “,,, I pretended to tie my shoelace and continued my job “ AT BEGINNING OF MY SHIFT”.🤣🤷♀️
I was then after I called my physician diagnosed with severe anxiety, depression, which “ PROZAC” was prescribed, it did help, but I GAINED POUNDS of weight ( which they didn’t tell me)😳anyway,,, I guess what I’m saying is “ SOME PEOPLE DEAL WITH THIS MONSTER, and some DON’T!
To those who don’t, BLESS YOU! You are very fortunate!
Oh btw, I now have CHF, Graces( hyperthyroidism , Lyme disease) 🤷♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@SamiraKamal-y3pAcademia needs to be more open to liaising with parents about not overloading children/students with too much work, which causes their stress. Education must change and allow children/students time to heal mentally and physically.

@freedomnasaMy parents keep on pressuring me about school, but they seem to forget that i am allready stressed, and 'dont feel stressed' dosent help, they also seem to think that nothing changed in school since they were kids.

@LofiLiltHave never thought that gaining weight because of stress might affect your body in a different way. However, it's so easy to say "don't get stressed" and so hard to figure out how not to get stressed and how to handle it.

@Zoran-h5yStress is abnormal if you have too much of it it's no good. Rising cost of living and inflation and other issues can cause one to feel the ripples of the environment. Picture the world when one continent collides with another the effects or after effects are felt worldwide. 🤘😬🤟😺 Chronic stress is also abnormal but can be manage with a healthy lifestyle. I think I have chronic stress. 🚬

@Karan-rg1okLast night, I realised I barely passed the semester examinations. I was hoping for a bit more as I really did study this time but I got an even worse grade. Remembering the dept puts up a list of our grades infront of the faculty room made me spiral. At first, I got dizzy then I had tremors all over my body for hours, my back started aching and I caught a fever. Fast forward to the next day, I woke up with a pounding headache and back pain. I was wishing the grade was a nightmare but it's still there. I feel like dropping out

My mother shouted at me all day and starts picking fights
