How Police Catch an Identity Thief in the Act
Video Overview & Insights
We're presenting a detailed look into a financial crimes investigation that happened n October 17, 2022 in Florida. Officers had been called to a local bank in reference to a suspected fraud. A woman had entered the bank and asked to withdraw $4,200. She said she didn't know her account number but had her ID and the last four digits of the account. Prior to the woman's arrival, the bank had been notified by the real account holder to flag the account, because her information had been stolen.
No penalties she'll come out and do it again wtf 60 days smh.

Exactly, arrest her and let a lawyer assist her. She's clearly telling lies and is guilty of the fraud crime.
However, she did not give permission to search her purse without a warrent.

That devil went to the bathroom (as soon as she saw the cop) to call & inform her partner in crime that she's in trouble. The partner was probably waiting in the parking lot, and pulled off. That's why she came up with the Uber lie so she could rendezvous somewhere else close by. Sixty days in jail is a slap on the wrist! She should have received much more than that!
This BCW video highlights the implications of providing false information to law enforcement during a felony financial crimes investigation. The video also provides an educational illustration of how a suspect’s attempt to conceal her true identity establishes criminal intent necessary for an arrest.

@melissaowens1559After 60 days she is out doing it again.
@myelocake7To bad that all that video evidence won't be admissible since they kept insisting on talking to her after she specifically asked for an attorney. Now she'll get off. They should have taken her straight to jail when she asked for the attorney. Now she'll get off scott free. Dumb cop.
@rainystormcloud7499Loved watching this parasite squirm.
@pelicanbriefsPenalties are not strict enough to deter future criminal activities.
@JohnHawley-c5nIdentity theft is not a joke, Jim! Millions of families suffer every year

@stephenrichardson2720Florida is a cesspool of crime
@Larkininthedark4:50 i’m a little confused? That officer did read her Miranda rights but he’s claiming that she is detained. She requested a lawyer and he said you’re not under arrest you just detain and that she pointed out so adequately that he read her her Miranda rights. Now, if you actually listen to what he said when he read those rights to her, and she was exercising in the right for a lawyer. He broke the law by denying her one.
@34stzooShe got barely a slap on the wrist
@rollerskatertexasgirlShe asked for a lawyer so questions need to be stopped. Best decision she made all day.
@oregontrailpickers3553What the hell is she dressed as power ranger
@johngomez3750She asked for an attorney multiple times tho, and he kept talking to her. How does that work?
@bldmyamean8352Some people think others money belongs to them.
@MyopinionmattersasmuchasuLove it when scammers get caught and continue to lie and get out of it but all that does is add to the charges.
@Walnut-PronatorEveryone of these is the same. They ubered/walked/taxied there. They are just visiting, or the check came in the mail.

@nbastar11105I had someone try to steal $1,500 from my bank account. Thank God my bank knew something was wrong, and alerted me before authorizing the transaction. I can’t stand a freaking lying thief. She only got 60 days in jail. That’s a slap on the wrist. How about a day for every dollar she tried to steal from that person.
@heavenlysky23815 to 10 years should be the standard punishment.
