Getting into the market and trading sounded simple at first, but once I got in, the price swings and mixed information made everything more confusing. I’ve tested several strategies,_ yet the results are just not there. Seeing others move ahead while I struggle has been frustrating. Has anyone actually worked with someone who guides you step by step instead of recycled content? I need real guidance...

Time is one consideration BUT volatility is really the x-factor not mentioned here.

I think it's best to Sell options rather than buy. Time is your worst enemy if you buy, if your buying without proper analysis or using the contract as insurance, then your just gambling. Plenty of people in my job site gamble with contracts. I'm the one selling them.

@danyel4148
@

How come you dont mention the stock price rising but not hitting the strike price so you sell early and do a sell to close capturing the increased premium and gaining something rather than letting your call expire worthless. It never has to be worthless unless the stock drops and never recovers then you lose the premium only

@HTGNetwork
@

Yeah but how do you take profit before the expiration once you’re ready? If you want to sell it at 2 months when you bought a 90day contract how do you do that? I’ve watched several videos but no one explains the entire process once you in profit and want to sell…do you have sell as a contract?…or is it easy like a regular stock buy and sell.

Is this gambling?

I have lived this similar scenario. Problem I run into is that I don’t pick the right option Lane. I am finding the one that when there’s volatility ends of trading some unimaginable spread between business and ask and they take your money. Literally steal your money.

I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.

@Davidmelisa-t5e
@

Option is very risky. Option rate of winning had to high.. if u get 10% profit 6 times, and loose 40% once, it is all reset.
Option buyers chance to win is only 33%

@BlueS2Silber

Don't forget to explain the 'Theta' DTE, Premium Cost, and how the Delta and Gamma determines the speed of the option.

Your math is wrong. But you are right big gains. It is based on big risk though.

Terrific teaching tutorial. Do we have the have all the money in our account or just the contract amount? Thank you.

Love these videos .. If there is one thing I have learned in recent months it is to remain calm, especially when it comes to investments in cryptocurrencies. Learn not to sell in a panic when everything goes down and not to buy in euphoria when everything goes up. I advise y'all to forget predictions and start making a good profit now because future valuations are all speculations and guesses. Bitcoin’s recent liquidity crunch is reshaping the market landscape and you can not tell if it's going bearish or bullish. I Would say More emphasis should be put into day trading as it is less affected by the unpredictable nature of the market.i have managed to grow a nest egg of around 85k to a decent 265k in the space of a few months.Thanks again Kristin Hillsley, for the regular updates,..

Call options give you the right, but not obligation to buy underlying stock. In your example you bought 125 call options. That's 12500 shares at $38 = $475,000. You need to BUY those shares before you can SELL them at $46 per or you don't make that profit. With $10,000...that's impossible.

@bkulchycki

I'm actually not new to trading, but am still taking more losses than wins. I really >want to stay focused, but it’s tough. Any real advice on how to finally turn things around and trade profitably?

@StellaBurrows-v1y
@

Don't fall for options. No one makes money in options. Too much work and too much risk. It is better to trade 3X etf. Safer and good money, and the worst case if you have decent money in your account and you are sizing properly, you don't even need to cut in losses, just keep it, and continue with new trades. Ultimately market will come up.

How the fuck if your strike price $36 and actual price now is $46, then he said your gains $8, how the fuck you gain $8, if your strike price is $36, that mean your call option will sell at $36 once it hits that price, ( because it’s your strike price, so even if stock hits $46, your 100 shares will sell at $36 strike price

The math doesn’t work. Going from 80 cents to $8.00 with a share increase of 10.00? Where is this $90,000 coming from?

There is also a difference in the amount of money at risk when buying a call versus selling a call.

If you have 1 month time frame but it goes to 46 a share in 2 weeks you can sell before the month expired right? You can sell whenever before time expires

I’ve predominantly been a long term dividend/growth value investor but since I wanna make some extra money with options videos like this do help! And just like I’ve done with investing so far I know never put in more money than I’m okay with losing lol so maybe a few bucks here and there will add up overtime but it’s semi safer than putting down tons of cash that if I lose I’m gonna be in financial strain

I make $10000 a month selling covered calls on a $250k portfolio. Always set the strike price way over your purchase price and keep collecting premiums. The goal is to not to make money but rather not lose money. Good luck.

@RRonnieDSILVA

Why not sell a put ? If you want the stock you can get premium or the stock. But if you sell a call you might lose money.
