Also: eating meat is orcish. Gross, look at yourself. Ew.
- Externality: a cost or benefit caused by an activity that affects other parties but is not taken into consideration (e.g. by being reflected in purchase prices)
- Hidden cost: a cost not included in the purchase price, such as additional expenses, opportunity costs, or externalities
I eat meat because it is delicious and healthy for me.
- Social Cost: an expense to society that is the sum of the private costs paid by a firm or individual, and the externalities paid by other parties
- Reducetarianism: the practice of eating less meat (& dairy, eggs, & other animal products), which may be appealing because not everyone is able or willing to follow a completely meat-free diet.

"Insanely low fees for grazing on public lands" – Okay... have you ever tried grazing yourself? So instead of using naturally grown grass as food, what’s your alternative? Just let it die off unused? And what about the people working there – should they rely on social welfare because they can’t afford to continue their work? What exactly are you trying to achieve?
0:56
At what point will you mention that a vegan diet often requires supplements? A regular diet already carries health risks – a strict vegan one can lead to even more. So which group is really placing a greater burden on the healthcare system?
1:07
"Potentially"? So... are you just speculating now?
1:16
Back to the grazing argument – if 0% of the feed given to animals is edible for humans, and only 10% of that feed becomes edible after being processed by animals, how much is actually lost?
1:20
"Pollute our water with their poop"? There's nothing in animal waste that didn’t originate from the soil. Animals don’t create something from nothing. That “pollution” is broken down by natural organisms and recycled into nutrients for plants. So what exactly are you calling pollution?
1:28
Back to grazing again? Why is the assumption that all animal feed could have been consumed by humans? That’s simply not true. If you’re talking facts, then please stay factual.
1:36
"Concentrated nutrients"? That’s called fertilizer. And guess what – it’s used in plant-based agriculture too. So... what’s the point?
1:40
"Erodes billions of tons of topsoil"? Is Earth suddenly running out of earth? Where did all that topsoil originally come from? Was it magic – or perhaps created by... organisms... from... manure? Just a thought.
Final note:
Please stop spreading misinformation. Much of the feed used for animals isn’t suitable for human consumption. Soil regenerates over time, and waste is naturally recycled. The real cost here is likely far less than you claim.

Probably doesn't factor in that eating purely Vegetation, is ultimately more expensive for a lesser quality of life.
Nor how there are mitigating techniques one can use when dealing with the $240 Issue's... truly, there are probably more efficient ways of handling/mitigating all these costs...
But much like how many people know about the potential for Climate Change to effect humanity... Most are focusing on low efficiency efforts, requiring Massive Majorities of Humans, Companies, & Governments to work in lockstep And without Dissent Like some kind of Authoritarian Utopia or something...
When working WITH people's natures, might ultimately be more efficient & effective.

Okay... But how about sources?

No. This really is an awful propaganda because...
1. Every developed nation subsidizes agriculture (both cultivation of plants and animal husbandry) so subsidizing livestock farming is actually strawman fallacy.
2. They compare meat with low-quality (both taste and nutrition) food source like maize, wheat, barley etc. to meat. Compare to high-quality plant based food like avocado, tomato, olive and peppers meat is no different from plants. This falls under faulty generalization fallacy.
3. They allegedly ignore the fact that prohibition in the US utterly failed and prohibiting meat is much harder than prohibiting certain strain of psychoactive beverages. Only thing they could do is recommending people consume less meat but modern free-market society makes meat cheaper thus consume more while some people with religious belief stop eating meat.
4. Climate change and pollution is mostly responsible from capitalists (filthy rich) than common people. They will consume more fancy wagyu beef that emits much more carbon than other food sources while commoners eat no meat and have meager life. This is a fallacy of composition.
5. They don't say about certain types of plant-based recreational crops like tobacco, coffee, cocoa and plants for alcoholic beverages. Again, prohibiting this utterly failed and those crops are much worse for environment than eggs, cheese and even chicken and pigs for meat. Especially considering hemp - which is mostly better than any other recreational crops - is regulated a lot throughout the world.

they don't get the main idea.
We don't feed livestock the food we eat, we feed them either inedible parts of our crops, agricultural wastes or straight up grass. Only a fraction of their diet is thing we can safely digest.
Most of the grazing land is territories we cannot use to grow human food - there's a reason why steppes were populated only by nomadic tribes grazing their ungulates
And unlike humans, cows don't generate methane for nothing! Everything they take they take from plants and after return it back into biosphere. It is called the circle of life and it has been like this for millions of years, but we still haven't seen any rise of CH4 level in our records
It is us who add extra matter to atmosphere by dismantling the soils in search for fossil fuels and metals. Don't blame animal life. It is us who ruin our planet this time

But there are nutrients we need that aren't in plants or fungi. We can get them by cultivating bacterial growths and I do know vegans that use those sources. But what i recommend to all of you: start eating insects.

For those who are familiar with the metric system:
At 0:46: "And the large quantities in which we eat them -- 10 kilos of meat, 19 liters of milk, 2 dozen eggs, and 450 grams of animal fats per family per week, contribute to major chronic diseases like stroke, heart disease, diabetes, and cancers."

Another hidden cost to meat is the sentient creature you are sentencing to death for your tastebuds.
