I eat one big meal a day and I mean big another one most people would consider a snack and a protein shake after I lift. I weigh 245 (no not fat) normally, 6β3 and am as strong as I was in college still repping 315 for 10 on the bench 405 10 on the squatβ¦ so works for me, I donβt care about trends, never have.

I was hoping you would put muscle protein synthesis in consideration, most studies show that spreading out your meals throughout the day result to a higher hypertrophic response than if you were not to.

@Thevindu3People don't want to hear "it depends", when the reality is that's the truth for many things in diet. No shortcuts can be found. Consistent nutrition sticking to your meal plans making adjustments where necessary/curious will net you the best results
@don8244Three meals a day is how I go about my business. Though portion control is definitely a huge factor in that. Maybe a snack thrown in somewhere during the day for good measure.
Honestly I donβt get whatβs so bad about this. Itβs so dang simple. Why fix what was never broken to begin with.
Here's an idea: eat when hungry. If not hungry, don't eat.

Eating frequency doesn't seem to affect metabolism, but metabolism isn't the only thing that contributes to fat. Eating more frequently raises insulin, thereby storing fat. So, eat 3 meals a day and eat foods that don't contribute to insulin resistance.
