MEANWHILE shortly before this Atlantic dropped Chappell Roan for having a VISION and new creativity XD Someone biffed so hard there, and I really hope it wasn't because they were prejudiced.

They say ''don't judge a book by its cover''. Keeping that in mind, the sight of your book's cover (Processing Creativity) kind of makes it (the MUBU) look like a starkly sinister D3@+H - Cult, whose inner workings largely consist of a set of orgiastic, ritualistic, and dare-I-say, ¢@NN!B@£!§+!¢ practices, all apparently culminating in a 'last supper'-type event, in which Madonna has been appointed as Lord & Saviour, someone's spare ribs & kidneys are on the menu alongside MJ's and Rick Rubin's brains, and lots of notorious skeletons are swept under the table for Elton John's famous dog to chew on. I dunno, just sayin'.

I hate your voice, but really what I hate is feeling n thinking you have real value to offer coz of what you've been through. Next time get to the shit, stop hyping the shit coz how you sound n we are watching does it really have to take you half the video of hype for us to get the info we are looking for, maybe it's just me who feels you should blow your nose before you start recording

I'm sorry to say but you hardly gave anything other than what most artists already know. If you've really worked inside, give us something that will actually help us rather than random generalities that anyone can spew in a matter minutes. I don't say this to be offensive, but out of disappointment in the sheer lack of actual help within what you actually provided

Many of my favourite bands were on Atlantic....I can still see that green amd red with a white line through the centre lable spinning at 33rpm in my bedroom for hours while I listened to Yes and dove into the fantasy world of Rodger Dean....for example...😁

Yeah I dunno man.. All the artist worshippers in the new industry aren't making records that'll be remembered in 30yrs. And no - I don't really think Universal has a magic formula, they just had the money to buy everyone else when the industry collapsed. The entire global music industry is $26B. Walmart alone does $611B/yr. The music equipment industry is twice the size of the music industry. These guys aren't captaining a successful industry.

My favorite thing about this channel is that it delivers hard facts with a humorous hand and a gentle touch. I feel like Jesse has a deep appreciation for the sensitivity and delicacy of the artistic spirit. It leaves me feeling very optimistic even though i go in bracing for bad news, crushing data, and depressing revelations. Thanks for the good musformation! ❤😊

Everything is done from Masonic bloodlines or ties. The elites control the music industry and music is a way to program the masses. Major music labels are essentially mass mind programmers. These artists are created by a team of people. The artists themselves are either bloodline of someone or "discovered" by having a unique voice or way of sounding. Singing has nothing to do with voice and voice patterns. There are many people with great singing voices who aren't famous but few people with unique sounding voices. One example of that is Bad bunny also EZ E wasn't even a rapper but had a unique voice so they instructed him on how to rap the lines. Also no one makes it big in the industry without have freemason ties or selling your soul to the ones in charge.

I got an email (I paid for that response) from a 17 Grammy award producer. He told me I got talent and then wrote me 43 things I should pay for. Marketing, singer, mastering, etc.. everything except Happy Meal menu for his daughter. I was like just GTFO I don't care who you are.

Atlantic was an independent that played among the majors until Warner Brothers / 7 Arts acquired the label in 1968. The founder, Ahmet Ertegun did many of the things you mention in this Podcast. A visionary, he heard the music of the future to allow artists to flourish under this banner of creativity. While his love was Jazz and R&B, he was wise enough to move ahead of the musical times and from this, it appears this same vision still applies at the label. I knew the man and visited him in NYC and his encouragement led me to try things I might not had done otherwise. The 1960's and 1970's were happening times. I believe people like Ahmet, Clive and Sam Phillips (SUN) were the greatest record men. I'll give a nod to Alan Lomax and John Hammond for their major contributions as well. These men knew the importance of the "business" of music, but they were also fans of music. That is what really set them apart. You have to appreciate that Ahmet was at a Rolling Stones concert in 2008 backstage where he fell and never recovered. That's dedication to the arts.

I appreciate the depth you went in this video. I have had past experiences with the industry while I was in a "metalcore" band. I have tried to explain to people but they will turn down so much info. I don't know if it's ego or they think I don't know what I'm talking about but I appreciate you validating my perception on things.
