He said that merkava is nearly the best tank in the world even if the whole tank explodes the crew are going to survive

If the Merkava gets hit from the front, a penetrating round will go straight through into the engine and possibly reach the crew. Once the engine is disabled, the tank can’t move, and it also can’t be used to transport troops unless most of the ammunition is removed. The idea that the engine acts as extra armor doesn’t hold up if an APFSDS round hits, the engine won’t stop it, it will just be destroyed. And if the turret takes a hit from a modern ATGM, it’s going to penetrate. The merkava isnt even close to being the best tank in the world.
