Avengers Endgame is a kids movie, and there is none of that which you complained about in the Avengers.

also the sheer weight of the marketing strategy and its lukewarm wide appeal is what makes it successful. By not committing to a position and taking a rather tired matriarchy vs patriarchy approach and in the end not resolving it. by becoming human is what makes the whole movie so appealing. It gives the sly humanism not feminism approach, by using feminist lens and talking points. This is corporate gaslighting at its best.

okay. my two cents on this. Its okay to critique barbie even using seemingly stupid points. because they're not actually stupid. Yes the moral policing around dick jokes is stupid. But the rest of the critique is consistent. and no, by saying that the movie addresses this by not taking itself seriously is very problematic. The whole I caricature everything might seem right by centrists, by as a leftist, it is not okay to ignore the clear capitalist messaging behind the film. i must say there moments in the movie that were jarring because they were a little exaggerated and nonsensical like the little girl calling barbie a fascist or the woman saying "it literally impossible to be a woman" but on the whole the movie was good and fun. I do think its disgusting for Krystal to try and pedal modesty as a virtue and the women need to cover up. That is literally what Islamists and the ayatollah Khamenei say. I cannot understand why Krystal is grifting to the right-wing.

I really enjoyed Barbie. I thought it was interesting I thought it was funny I thought the message about how women are expected to be everything to everyone all the time and how in the real world that is unattainable was good. The part with her becoming human and learning what it is to be human with all the flashes of memories was kind of heartwarming. I liked it overall. Got a totally different experience out of it than Krystal.

Thank you so much for this review. People making a big deal about a movie of a Doll. I am 56 and I loved the movie. It brought back so many good memories of my childhood. There are so many concerning things going on this world and they are worried about Barbie? Get a life. Really? It was a great movie with a deep message, but some people wont get it. I knew it was a PG 13 movie so I knew it would not be appropriate for under 13. I saw the trailer and I immediately wanted to see it. Greta did an amazing job. Excellent cast. There are worse things happening in this world than the Barbie movie.
